Payton is so skilled in the post. Her touch around the rim is soft and she finishes through traffic efficiently. She is a big part of this Lions team and anchors their defense, which is one of the best in the entire state. Mills lets the game come to her, not forcing anything and always finding her teammates out on the 3 point line for an open shot. Her deep shot as well, is lights out as she shoots roughly 40% on the season. She is going to elevate her game even more this summer playing AAU on a high level.
Highlights
Julia Dalan
Julia Dalan
Julia could very well be the best defensive post player in the entire state of Washington. She averages almost 10 blocks a game while pulling down an outstanding 15/16 boards a game. Julia is well rounded on the offensive side of the ball, having elite footwork in the paint and great ability to finish through traffic. Once she has a consistent shot from mid range and deep, she’ll be a top overall player in the state.
Jamison is a big time play maker for this talented Ellesburg team. She facilitates the offense to the highest of her ability, being able to find her teammates but also find her own spots to get her own points. She is overall a very well rounded player, also being a top defensive player in the state. She pressures the ball extremely well, moving her feet to stay in front of opposing ball handlers.
Finley just exploded onto the scene this season as a freshman for Lynden. She is a 6’0/1″ point guard who handles the ball so well, finds her mid-range spots smoothly, and can even knock down the deep shot. Parcher has already shown her ability to score from all 3 levels and still get her teammates involved. Her game is going to elevate big over the summer with NW Blazers.
Ava is one of my favorite players to watch on the court. She understands the game so well, being able to direct her teammates in order to make a big play happen. Her high IQ helps on the defensive side of the ball too, leading to many turnovers for her team. Marr has a great deep shot and the ability to score from all three levels effectively.
