Abby Carter, 5-10 Eastlake North
Put on a good showing in their loss to Fairmont as she connected on five threes for a team high 15 points in the loss. She has a quick shot from the perimeter and solid on the boards. Abby is a long athletic player with tools to compete both inside and on the perimeter. In addition to her scoring, she also dished out three assists and had no turnovers. Hard nosed gritty worker who should have a solid season year ahead of her.
Olivia Sims Olivia Sims 5'6" | CG Toledo Notre Dame Academy | 2021 State OH , 5-9 Toledo Notre Dame
Solid complete player with a lot of tools. She has a strong pull-up jumper and can play in transition. Sims is a good passer, aggressive defender and a physical wing. Can slash to the paint. Good perimeter range beyond the arc. Poured in 17 points as TND earned a win over Lakota West. Solid on the boards.
Alyson Ray, 5-8 Toledo Notre Dame
One of her strongest assets I saw was her rebounding ability. Solid on the boards, and an aggressive player. Gets after the ball. Has solid handles. Good midrange pull-up shot. Great intangibles and did not come off the floor. Good floor leader.
Lovie Malone, 5-10 Huber Heights Wayne
A solid finisher at the rim for the Warriors and runs the floor well in transition. Applies pressure defense and good intangibles. Lovie moves well without the wall, gets good positioning on offense and has good court vision. Has good range beyond the arc.
Bree Hall, 6-1 Huber Heights Wayne
As good as Hall is, it appears she even raised her game even more in this game. She scored the first dozen or so points for Wayne and just was unstoppable. Can score from the outside with a legit perimeter game, including the three. Slashes to the rim, scores in transition and creates turnovers.
Amy Velasco Amy Velasco 5'8" | CG Centerville | 2021 State OH , 5-7 Centerville
Can do it all, and epitomizes what a true point guard is. Controls the tempo, solid basketball IQ. Great handles with the ability to find the best shot for her team, or score herself. Sees the floor well, fills the passing lanes. Like having another coach on the floor.
Emma Shumate Emma Shumate 6'1" | SG Newark | 2021 State #90 Nation OH , 6-1 Newark
Ice in her veins. She isn’t afraid of taking the big shot, and will more often than not, she will connect. Excellent perimeter shooter. Has deep scoring range, can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Long athletic and great in transition.
