St. John Vianney pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the day, knocking off nationally ranked Riverdale Baptist. As usual, it was Madison St. Rose leading the way for the Lancers, scoring a team-high 17 points and making just enough plays to power her squad to the win. The leader of a young SJV team, St. Rose gets it done on both ends of the floor.
Even though her team didn’t play well, Trenton Catholic post player Aalyah Del Rosario was special. She is in shape and as a result is running the floor better than in the past. She demanded the ball and once she got it, knew what to do with it. She posted game highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds.
Rutgers Prep big Christina Dalce is the rare player who dominates without needing a single play called for her. Her motor once again was on display as she went after every rebound and loose ball and has a knack for scoring around the basket.
Paul VI’s Eleanor Robinson does all of the dirty work for her squad. She locks up on defense, runs the floor, can spot up and get to the cup.
Blair’s Dominique Darius is sometimes overshadowed by her teammate Olivia Miles. That wasn’t the case Sunday as Darius took home the MVP hardware after posting 27 points and 8 rebounds in an entertaining win against Neumann Goretti.
