Atlantic City took down No. 2 Ocean City. Both top seeds lost in the previous round which will set up an interesting championship game. Here are the top prospects in what will be an exciting title game.
Ciani Redd-Howard (2020) | Atlantic City
Howard has been a huge scorer for Atlantic City this season. She finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds in the quarterfinals against Atlantic Tech. Howard scored 12 points in the upset victory over Ocean City. Atlantic City will be the higher seed in the final game which they were not expected to be. Howard will have to come up with a big performance to win this game.
Kylee Watson (2020) | Mainland
It is a shock to see Wildwood Catholic out in the semi-finals, but it makes sense when looking at Mainland’s top player. Watson is the top ranked player in New Jersey. The Oregon commit is 6’3 and dominant. Watson is elite at getting to the free throw line using her size and strength. If Atlantic City wants to win this game, they will have to find a way to slow down Watson.
Sanai Garrison Macon (2022) | Atlantic City
Atlantic City is a team that has a nice mix of upper and underclassmen. Macon is one of the underclassmen who have made an impact this season. She has been a threat from deep and has been an elite rebounder given her size. At 5’4, Macon knows how to get to the basket and score inside with contact. Macon is an x-factor for this team as they enter the league final.
Kaitlyn Boggs (2022) | Mainland
Boggs has been the second in command for Mainland. As a sophomore, she has showed her dynamic ability to put the ball in the basket. Mainland has won 15 of 17 down the stretch of the season and Boggs is a reason why.
Quanirah Cherry-Montague (2023) | Atlantic City
Montague has turned into an elite rebounder in her first season at Atlantic City. She is averaging 7.9 rebounds per game. This includes an 11 rebound performance against Ocean City in the semi-finals. She is a player with great size and skill that is beyond her years. There is no doubt that Montague will turn into one of the state’s top players throughout her career.
