Zanai Jones (2021) | Hudson Catholic
Jones has been the leading scorer for the No. 1 seed all season long. She is scoring 18.8 points per game and has the ability to completely take over a game. Jones was also second on the team in rebounding and led the team in assists. She averaged nearly four steals per game. Jones is a true stat sheet filler for Hudson Catholic.
Makoye Diawara (2020) | Bayonne
Diawara might be the most dominant player in the state this season. She is averaging 17.8 points and 14.7 rebounds per game as a senior. She is a double-double machine. Diawara is one of the top rebounders in the entire state. She has knocked down 19 three’s this season but Diawara is dominant down low. She is a player that can get the ball on the post and do whatever she wants with it. Bayonne has an elite scorer and rebounder in Diawara.
Eniya Scott (2022) | Bayonne
Scott is averaging 6.9 assists per game as a sophomore. Her connection with Diawara is strong and was obvious from the beginning of the season. Scott is second on the team in scoring and rebounding. Diawara will be graduating in the spring but Bayonne is in good hands over the next two years with Scott.
Tiyanni McClary (2020) | Lincoln
McClary has been the leader for Lincoln this season. She is a dynamic scorer and rebounder as well as passer. Lincoln did not score much in the quarterfinals, just 37 points. Jakira Coar was the leader with 16 points and McClary finished with eight and five rebounds. She can get it done in many ways and she will be the x-factor over the next two rounds.
Damaris Rodriguez (2020) | Secaucus
Secaucus has won 12 in a row entering the semi-finals. This is much in part because of Rodriguez and her way of completely taking over a game and running an offense. Rodriguez is scoring 18.6 points per game but her most impressive attribute might be her ability to pass and make the right decisions. Rodriguez is dishing out 7.5 assists per game to lead Secaucus. They will have a tough road if they want to win the title and Rodriguez will have to lead the way.
