<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt">Division 2: Sectionals to Watch part 2</span></strong> [caption id="attachment_132472" align="alignleft" width="226"] [player_tooltip player_id="132409" first="Erin" last="Hedman"][/caption]<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt">#1 New Berlin Eisenhower vs #2 Pewaukee</span></strong> Eisenhower has some surprisingly close games in playoffs so far. In their regional final their team beat New Berlin West in a 42-38 victory. The score was pretty even throughout the entire game. New Berlin Eisenhower has had a super tough schedule this season and has managed to be successful throughout. Their scoring has been pretty spread out during playoffs as teams are packing the paint for their top scorers. In the close battle for regional champions, Minnesota recruit and senior forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="132409" first="Erin" last="Hedman"]</strong> was held to 11 points and shot 50% from three. <strong>Brynn Fuerstenberg</strong> added 12 points. Pewaukee enters the game with a huge victory over a tough South Milwaukee squad. The team finished 51-29 in their regional final. Pewaukee has a 19-5 record this season and averages 66 points per game. In the big win for regional champions, the scoring was also very balanced throughout the team. <strong>Vivianne Jende</strong> scored a team-high 11 points in the win.<strong> Kennedy Osterman</strong> scored 10 points. <strong>Austyn Brock</strong> added 7 points. <strong><span style="font-size: 14pt">#1 DeForest vs #2 Oregon</span></strong> DeForest enters the game with the 1 seed in their bracket. The team is coming off a 56-35 regional final win over Monona Grove. DeForest is coming from a tough Badger- North conference. The team finished second just behind Beaver Dam. During their regional final game three different players scored in double digits. Their high paced offense and quickness in transition makes for a lot of easy buckets. <strong>Jaelyn Derlein</strong> finished with 13 points. <strong>Sam Schaeffer</strong> added 11 points. 5’11 senior forward<strong> Megan Mickelson</strong> added a game high 18 points to push their team past Monona Grove. Oregon was place second in seeing an is coming off a 57-43 in over #3 Reedsburg. Oregon is entering the match-up with a 19-5 record. Their team is averaging 61.4 points per game and can be expected to shoot a lot of perimeter shots against DeForest. In the blowout win against Reedsburg<strong>, [player_tooltip player_id="132459" first="Liz" last="Uhl"]</strong> dropped a game high 20 points and played 30 minutes. <strong>Izzie Patterson</strong> added 10 points. 5’9 junior forward<strong> Emily Statz</strong> had 7 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to put her team into sectionals. <span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>#4 Waukesha West vs #3 Waterford</strong></span> Waukesha West is coming off a huge victory over Union Grove; the number one seeded team in their bracket. Waukesha West beat them 51-45. The team is coming into the sectional with a 12-12 record but has been playing their best basketball this playoff season. During the regional final<strong> Lilly Hanke</strong> scored a game-high 18 points. Madeline Anderson added 12 points and shot 5-0 from the field. <strong>Morgan Thierfelder</strong> added 9 points. Waterford is also entering the game off an exciting win. The team had a close call game that went into overtime against #7 Jefferson. Waterford won the game 47-46. Their team enters the game with a 16-8 record this season. In the overtime regional championship game, <strong>Kate Rohner</strong> finished with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Forward <strong>Annie Benavides</strong> finished with a gme high 14 rebounds and added 5 points. <strong><span style="font-size: 14pt">#1 Pius XI Catholic vs #2 Milwaukee Languages</span></strong> [caption id="attachment_139049" align="alignright" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="132440" first="Jada" last="Spence"][/caption]Pius enters the game after a huge regional final finish against Wauwatosa West. The team finished 75-43 in the blowout win. Pius has relied on their inside powerhouses this season. Their team is stacked with size and they do a great job capitalizing on that. In the regional final win 6’1 senior forward and Tennessee State commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="132440" first="Jada" last="Spence"]</strong> had a game high 21 points. Jaida Smith stepped up with 8 points of her own. Green Bay commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="132433" first="Jasmine" last="Kondrakiewicz"]</strong> had 6 points and 8 rebounds in the win. Milwaukee Languages has been a sleeper throughout this season and have really stepped it up in playoffs. In their regional final victory over Milwaukee Lutheran, the team outscored the #6 seed 59-49. During that game, two players really stepped it up in scoring. First team all conference guard <strong>Ja’Cia Cunningham</strong> scored 15 points and grabbed 11 boards in the win, along with <strong>Kalylah Watson</strong> with 15 points. <strong>Nevaeh Howard</strong> had 15 rebounds in the victory.
