Class 3A All State Tournament Team

<strong>2022 [player_tooltip player_id="124860" first="Sophie" last="Sullivan"], 5’8” Guard, Montini </strong> The Sophomore Point Guard led the Lady Broncos in scoring both games downstate, scoring 12 against Simeon in the Semis and 15 against Lanphier in the Third-Place game. Sullivan shot 50% from both the field (9-18) and beyond the three-point line (6-12) over the two games. The steady Floor General shoots the ball consistently well, and her ability to lead the offense and disrupt opposing Guards on defense make her such a dynamic player. <strong>2021 [player_tooltip player_id="77444" first="Aneesah" last="Morrow"], 6’1” Guard, Simeon</strong> While she had a tougher game in the Final against Morton, the First Team All-Stater was dominant in the Semifinal against Montini. The Junior put up 22 points and brought down 13 rebounds in Simeon’s eight-point victory. Morrow has been an excellent rebounder for a long time, but her ability to score from every level has been taken to new heights this year, making her one of the more Elite prospects in the state. <strong>2020 Martrice Brooks, 5’7" Guard, Springfield Lanphier</strong> Another First Team All-State member at 3A, Brooks was the leading point scorer for Lanphier in both games at the State Tournament, averaging 15 points and 5.5 rebounds for the two games. Brooks is a quick Lead Guard with a good handle, especially in transition. She can shoot well from deep, and did a nice job attacking the lane and finishing well in traffic against some taller, high-level opponents. <strong>2020 [player_tooltip player_id="76267" first="Lindsey" last="Dullard"], 6’1" Guard, Morton</strong> Dullard’s performance this weekend, especially in the Semifinal against Lanphier, showed exactly why she, too, was a First Team All-State member at 3A. The UAB commit erupted for 19 First Half points on 8-9 shooting to give Morton an 11-point lead at the half. She’s an excellent shooter, but really showed her ability to score inside this weekend, whether it was from post touches or driving from the Wing. Dullard 17.5 points and 9 rebounds for the tournament. <strong>2022 [player_tooltip player_id="78772" first="Katie" last="Krupa"], 6’2" Forward, Morton</strong> Krupa is a dominant inside scorer who really held her own against the great post players from Simeon in the State Title game. While she took on a different role in the Semifinal while Dullard was having a terrific game, Krupa contributed 19 points and 7 rebounds against Simeon. Her footwork and body control in the paint are at a high level and her strength to finish through contact make her a force to defend. Krupa averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds in the two games. <strong>2021 [player_tooltip player_id="123574" first="Khaniah" last="Gardner"], 6’2” Forward, Simeon</strong> Gardner is an athletic Forward who uses her length to dominate the glass on both ends of the floor. Simeon is a team who thrives on second-chance points, and Gardner is a main contributor to that aspect. Defensively, she is tough for other posts to get around due to her quickness and long arms, which forces teams to settle for more jump shots or tightly contested layups. Gardner averaged 8 points and 9 rebounds on the weekend.
