<span style="font-weight: 400;">The opening round of the Kansas 6A state championships opened on Wednesday with quarterfinal play at Wichita State University in Wichita.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Olathe East beats Wichita-Heights, 49-48.; Topeka over Olathe North, 79-55; Liberal over Olathe South, 41-33; and Derby beats SM Northwest, 44-39.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The Kansas High School Activities Association announced on Thursday the remaining state tournament games will not be played.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Here, Prep Girls Hoops takes a look at several senior sleepers.</span>
<b>T’Yonne, Duncan, 6’1, C, 2021, Olathe South</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">A nice center who can see time due to her height and willingness to play hard on defense. Duncan is another Olathe South player that has potential in her game and good size inside. Duncan played only 11 minutes in the game but she scored and was able to get some defensive rebounds and contest shots around the glass. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="123498" first="Ja’Neysha" last="Hendricks"], 5’3, G, 2021, Topeka</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">A solid two-way player who looks to keep the ball moving and make plays on defense. She can score at times and hustles and shows good speed and awareness. Hendricks had six points in Topeka’s first round win over Olathe North, all of which coming from the free throw line. She also rebounded some and had three assists.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="123512" first="Katelyn" last="Kennedy"], 5’8, G, 2021, Derby</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Kennedy had a big game against Northwest scoring seven points and collecting two rebounds. She made a lot of moves off the ball and was strong and physical in full-court situations. Kennedy has solid confidence in her scoring and looked Sharp and played an all-around game. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="91880" first="Jae’Mya" last="Lyons"], F, 2021, Topeka</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Another forward who can contribute as a rebounder and scoring option. Lyons has a strong frame and looks to use her size to her advantage wherever she can. She’s good in half court settings and can back up opponents and score off the glass. Lyons finished the game with 14 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in Topeka’s win over Olathe North.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="123471" first="LaSharea" last="Richardson"]</b><b>, G, 2021, Olathe East</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">A nice guard who can handle the ball, defend the perimeter and score in a variety of ways. She’s a good leader and her skills and scoring ability make her a player teams have to watch out for. She can do a bit of everything and her athleticism and speed also sets her apart from the competition. Richardson had six points, two rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals in their win against Heights. </span>
<b>Lilly Smith, 5’0, G, 2021, Topeka</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">A nice junior guard who can do a bit of everything. Smith is a confident guard who looks to create and score. She has a lot of hustle and good speed and looks to body up opponents and make plays with and without the ball. She is a tough player and a hard-nosed competitor on the defensive end as well. Smith had 10 points, three assists and one steal for the game. She knocked down two 3-pointers and was 4-8 from the field.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="123494" first="Jaidyn" last="Schomp"], 6’3, F, 2021, Derby</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">A tall and lanky forward who looks to shoot from range and make plays as a rebounder and offensive player inside. She has a lot of potential and a high ceiling to her game and played strong despite a low-scoring performance. She was three or four from the free throw line and provided speed and length and a lot of hustle to the floor. She ended the game with five points and three rebounds. </span>
