The point guard position took the number one spot in the class in the final rankings for 2020. [player_tooltip player_id="118032" first="Genesis" last="Bryant"] performed at an elite level in virtually every game of her high school career. She is a very intelligent and athletic basketball player that seems to have something to counter any defense in front of her. [player_tooltip player_id="118043" first="Asjah" last="Inniss"] the second ranked point guard lead her team to a 31-1 record with the only loss coming in the state championship game to a top 25 nationally ranked team. Jumping down a few spots, [player_tooltip player_id="118078" first="Jalyn" last="Bell"] comes in as the 6th best point guard for the class. She battled injuries this season but when completely healthy, you saw clearly just how good she is at running the show. [player_tooltip player_id="118073" first="Azonya" last="Austin"] tried to put her team on her back in every game. She is a great competitor on both ends of the floor and has size to play physical with any guard defender. [player_tooltip player_id="153516" first="Ashlyn" last="Andrus"] handled primary ball-handling responsibilities for a Cherokee team that had multiple college prospects on the roster. She executed her teams actions very well and was responsible for many scoring opportunities for her teammates. She also knew when it was her time to contribute rarely forcing anything and simply making the right play. [player_tooltip player_id="118086" first="Simone" last="Rowland"] came away with a state championship this year but was another point guard that could not stay healthy. She has a good skill set and is another game manager that has an edge and can score in bunches when flipping the switch.
