There are some players that just have the it factor. The necessary sense of urgency on the court and the ability to stay under control. That is Golda Och’s Ally Landau. The senior will be playing at Haverford College next season but after looking at her final season in high school, acknowledgment is needed.
Landau is near the top of the state in nearly every statistical category. Landau is averaging 31.5 points, 13.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 8.8 steals per game. She has scored 630 points this season to eclipse the rare 2,000-point mark. Landau has knocked down 57 three’s and 77 free throws throughout the season.
At 5’2, Landau has found a way to become an elite rebounder and that is nothing but effort. There may not be a harder working player throughout the state. Her size may be a reason that she has flown under-the-radar but it seems impossible to stay there when putting up the numbers that she has. Let’s take a look at some of her best games. This does not include a 41 point-, 20-rebound performance against Orange. Landau has been putting up video game numbers all season long. She is the state’s leader in points and steals per game. She also ranks top-10 in rebounds and assists per game.
Haverford is getting an elite player from a state with some of the best talent in the country. Landau has been electric on the court and that will undoubtedly continue at the next level.
