Emily La Chapell | Appleton East | 5’11 G | Sophomore
A recent honorable mention in the All-State conversation was just the icing on the cake for this standout guard. Leading her team in scoring, rebounds and assists, it’s been a huge year for La Chapell. She averaged 16.9 points per game this season. She’s long and quick; a rare combination that makes her super successful. She runs the floor well in transition and has a great footwork inside the lane. This year she brought more power offensively. She commands the ball in the paint and finished with strength at the rim. In a win over Appleton North, she scored a season-high 27 points. Her strength was matched on the other end of the floor as she led her team in rebounding with 8 per game. She’s super dynamic on the floor. La Chapell will play every position on the floor and guard it as well. All the while, La Chapell has developed her passing game this season. She understands how to find her teammates when she is pressured by defenders. La Chappell is averaging 5 assists per game. She holds offers from Utah, Green Bay, Marquette, Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
Jordana Reisma Jordana Reisma 6'2" | SF Brown Deer | 2022 State WI | Hortonville | 5’6 PG | Sophomore
The floor general of the Top 5 is Peppler. She’s everything a coach and player wants in their point guard. She demands her pace on offense and keeps her team in a great tempo throughout the game. She is an exceptional ball handler. While Peppler is quite possibly the best I’ve seen orchestrate an offense, she is also a scoring threat. She’ll easily take her player 1-on-1 or knock down a perimeter shot. This season she helped lead her team to a State Tournament appearance. She is averaging 8.4 points per game, 5.7 assists and 2.4 steals. With over 150 assists this season, Peppler has been a key player to Hortonville’s success. In turn, Peppler plays intense defense. She’s gritty and relentless which translates into steals for her every game. Peppler plays as though she has years of experience at the Varsity level, truly a fun player to watch compete. Peppler is committed to UW Milwaukee.
Kamorea Arnold | Germantown | 5’8 G | Freshman
One of two freshmen on the list of All State players this year is Arnold. She’s incredibly flashy on offense and finds unimaginable ways to score the basketball. She has a great shot of the pass and can also create a shot for herself. Her go-to moves include a quick hesitation attack and cross over pull up jumper that leaves defenders shook. Arnold joined a talented and experienced Germantown team this season and was nothing short of great. She started the season with confidence and each game seemed to improve something about her game. She handles defensive pressure better than anyone I’ve seen this season. She’s poised and patient, very unheard of for someone her age being put in such a huge role. She’s super well conditioned so she’s able to keep her intensity up the entire game. This season she helped lead her team to a Sectional Final appearance. She averaged 17 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.6 steals per game. In a huge win over top team, DSHA, Arnold scored a season-high 25 points. She currently holds offers from Arizona State, DePaul, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State, Louisville, Marquette, Michigan State, Minnesota, Penn State, Pittsburg, Utah and Wisconsin.
Grace Grocholski | Kettle Moraine | 5’10 F | Kettle Moraine
Adding size to our top five is Grocholski. She’s a powerful forward who brings strength inside for her team. Leading her team all across the board this season, she stepped in and took on a huge role. A super talented forward who can also shoot the ball is what’s given her so much success this season. Grocholski is a difficult player to guard as whoever is guarding her will most likely be a mismatch. She’s quick for a forward, but too powerful to be guarded by a guard. This season she is averaging 17.3 points per game. Scoring 433 points during her freshman campaign, she was nothing but consistently dropping huge numbers for her squad. In a one-point loss over a tough Oconomowoc team she scored a season-high 30 points. In this game, Grocholski was guarded by one of the states top post players and not only had a game high, but showed that she can keep up with anybody. She’s great at keeping the ball high and finishing with composure at the rim. She’s fierce on defense and uses her body so well. She averaged 8.4 rebounds per game. In a win over Milwaukee Hamilton, she grabbed a season-high 16 boards. She developed her distributing game as the season progressed and dished out a season-high 6 assists against Waukesha West.
Jordan Meulemans | De Pere | 5’11 G | Sophomore
Meulemans entered this season after a phenomenal freshman campaign. Last season she averaged 11.1 points and shot 43% from the three-point line. A tall guard who will shoot over defenders makes Meulemans a special player. She creates her own space very well and has a scorers mentality. She’s super efficient from mid-range and continues to develop on the perimeter. She understands her shot offensively and is explosive attacking the basket. On defense, Meulemans is in your face. She’s long- and knows how to use it to her advantage to grab steals or block shots. She averaged 5.3 rebounds this season and grabbed 12 in a game against Stevens Point. This season ended early for Meulemans as she suffered a broken finger early February. Leading up to he season ending injury, she was averaging 17.1 points per game. In a victory over Sheboygan South, she had a season-high 26 points. She earned FRCC All Defensive Team this season. In another victory over a tough Manitowoc Lincoln team, she scored 24 points. She currently holds offers from Creighton, Green Bay, Illinois State, Marquette and Milwaukee.
