Below is the list of players who made the First Team All Conference this season for the Bay Conference.
Taeja Morrow | Green Bay West | Senior | 5’7 G
The Green Bay West standout averaged 20 points per game for her squad this season. She plays with incredible swagger on the floor. She is patient on offense and does a great job at finding her shot. She uses her handles to create space before attacking the defender.
Alexa Yost | Menasha | Senior | 5’7 G
A triple threat for her squad this season. Yost can play and defend multiple positions on the floor. She has good footwork and is strong on both ends. This season she averaged 12.8 points per game. Yost does a good job scoring in transition but also does a great job shooting off the pass. She made 38 three point shots this season. She has a good eye on defense as well, grabbing multiple key steals in big games.
Samantha Pfefferie | New London | Senior | 5’5 G
Helping lead her team to second in the conference this season and the leading scorer for New London. The guard averaged 13.2 points per game and 2.5 steals. She’s super quick and has a good eye for jumping the pass on while defending. The senior is patient and found her shot well in huge games.
Diahanna King | Seymour | Senior | 5’6 G
King led her team in scoring and rebounding. The guard averaged 10.2 points per game and is primarily an inside scoring threat. She excels mid range and attacking passed her opponent to get to the rim. She developed her confidence on the perimeter this season as well. In a huge win over Luxemburg Casco, King scored 21 points in the victory. A defensive threat as well, King averaged 8.1 rebounds per game.
Alexa Thompson | West De Pere | Junior | 5’8 CG
Thompson led her team to the top spot in the conference this season. A high scoring team that plays with an up-tempo pace the entire game, Thompsons style of play fits right in. She averaged 16.9 points and 9 rebounds per game. The junior guard can defend multiple positions on the floor as she is super strong and versatile. She’s developed her handles this season and is efficient putting the ball on the floor. A three point shooter as well, Thompson shoots well off the pass or creates her own shot. She made 29 three point shots this season.
Sammie Buss Sammie Buss 5'5" | PG Neenah | 2023 State WI | Xavier | Freshman | 5’5 G
The lone freshman on the list led her team to the number three spot in the conference. Sammie is a fantastic all around player who does an exceptional job at the little things. The guard is quick on both ends of the floor and plays 100% the entire game. She averaged 11.9 points per game for her squad. The floor general distributes the ball well and averages 3.2 assists per game. The freshman standout has a smooth release on the perimeter who made 57 three point shots for Xavier.
