Danyella Mporokoso Danyella Mporokoso 5'6" | CG Waubonsie Valley | 2026 State IL
You’d never think Mporokos is 5’6 when you watch her play. She played as if she’s 5’10 and got to the rim to finish around some size at the basket multiple times this weekend. Mporokoso can score in bunches from anywhere on the floor. She excelled from beyond the three-point line a few weeks ago at Boo Williams for the first EYBL stop of the season, and in Appleton, she made shots too, but I was more impressed with her concentration level to finish around the rim.
Aubrey Galvan Aubrey Galvan 5'7" | PG Loyola Academy | 2025 State IL
Sometimes, I feel as if basketball comes too easy for Aubrey Galvan Aubrey Galvan 5'7" | PG Loyola Academy | 2025 State IL . She plays in a flashy manner, but it’s how she’s played for her entire life. She’ll attempt some of the outrageous things you’ll see in a weekend, and if you don’t know who she is, you might think she’s being disrespectful. However, that style of play helped lead her team to a 4A state title this past year for her Loyola Academy group. She’s a kid who’s won games at every level she’s played at by playing the way she does. Galvan’s cut from a different mold than most kids, and anyone would enjoy watching her play with the joy she plays with every time she’s on the floor.
Corrine Reed
Reed is one of my favorite kids to watch from Illinois. She may not receive the attention of some of the elite prospects down there, but she’s a winner. The St. Charles East guard does a little of everything, and I can imagine her coaches don’t want to sit her often. She defends with intensity, digs in, and rebounds at a high level for her size, and can knock down some perimeter shots. I love the motor she plays with when she’s out there, and you can tell she has as much passion for basketball as anyone you’ll find. Even talking to a D2 coach at the event, they saw the same thing in her after watching one game. People who love basketball will love watching Reed play.
Kristina Ouimette Kristina Ouimette 6'1" | PF Lakeland | 2025 State WI
The thing that makes Ouimette so dangerous is the finesse she uses. Everyone, rightfully, is terrified of her beating them from the three-point line that they’ll overcommit to defending her. However, Ouimette is talented enough with the ball in her hands to blow by them and get to the rim. Ouimette utilizes hesitation dribbles to get defenders to either commit to come out and defend her or allow her the space to pull up for a three. However, she’s one of the best in the state at using off-ball screens to get open. Her off-ball movement will translate to the college level once she gets to Green Bay.
