Mariana Papazoglou | Wildwood Catholic
Papazoglou is already a star. She has a chance to climb the rankings and be one of the best players in the state next season. This is a stock riser that can go from star to elite level. She was a dynamic scorer for Wildwood Catholic this season. She did most of her work in the lane and dominated with contact. Papazoglou is an impressive player with an intimidating presence on the floor.
Caitlyn Decker Caitlyn Decker 5'6" | PG Red Bank Regional | 2021 State NJ | Red Bank Regional
Decker was one of the top passers in the state last season. She had double-digit assists four times and averaged just under eight per game. Decker is a complete point guard that knows how to run an offense. She is offensive minded and can score but is clearly unselfish.
Jayden Watson Jayden Watson 6'1" | SF Morris Catholic | 2021 State NJ | Morris Catholic
Watson was a monster on the boards this season. She is a double-double threat every time she steps on the floor. Morris Catholic can run their offense through the post because of Watson’s strong decision making and passing ability. She has good feet down low and strong hands when going up for a rebound. Watson is the type of player that a team wants in the post. She thrives with her back to the basket.
Akyia Baker | St. Thomas Aquinas
Baker will be the next catalyst for the Trojans. The team is losing both Emma Boslet Emma Boslet 5'10" | PG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2020 State NJ and Kelsey Ransom so this is Baker’s chance to step up and be the team’s No. 1 option. She is a scorer at all three levels. St. Thomas Aquinas did not need her to do too much but she showed her ability to shoot from deep and get to the rim. The Trojans are two-time defending GMC champs and they are in good hands for next season.
Chase Klavon | Metuchen
Metuchen won 15 games this season and was a threat. Klavon was one of their main options and that will enhance next season. She was one of the top shooters in the GMC. Klavon hit 45 three’s as a junior. She can shoot off the dribble or spot up from deep. Klavon is a threat in the open floor because she can fill the lane and knows how to do it well.
