Below are the list of players whom were selected to their conference First Team. We highlighted some key points of each players game.
Abbie Aalsma Abbie Aalsma 6'0" | CG Waupun | 2022 State WI | Waupun | Sophomore | G
Helping lead her team to the number one spot in the conference as well as being the only sophomore on the First Team squad, Aalsma had a huge season. A defensive specialist, she was key to creating turnovers for her team. She averaged 3.3 steals per game. Also a pure scorer, Aalsma knows how to create a shot for herself. She’s quick off the dribble. She also has a great release and smooth shot off a pass. This season she averaged 19.5 points per game.
Peyton McGinnis | Waupun | Senior | G
The second leading scorer for her squad, McGinnis was a clear leader on the floor this season. She sets the tempo on offense and doesn’t let pressure defense rile her. At 5’9 she has rare size and skill techniques that find her being super effective on offense. During her senior campaign she gained more confidence to shoot beyond the arc. She made 18 three point shots this season while averaging 16.9 points per matchup.
Maxine Paulowske | Kewaskum | Senior
Leading her team to second in conference action this year was 5’2 guard. She’s incredibly scrappy and does a great job grabbing loose balls. She’s an all around hustler, diving for loose balls and playing intense every possession. On the offensive end, she’s patient. She doesn’t force any crazy shots and finds her teammates open. The senior averaged 14.3 points per game for Kewaskum.
Myah Jodraski | Berlin | Senior | G
Jodarski had an impressive season for Berlin this year. She’s really developed her all around game. Starting the season as a guard like player, who primarily attacked the basket. Jodarski turned into a versatile player that can score the basketball from any position. She became effective from beyond the arc, making 36 three point shots. She also added some post game to her bag, scoring from a turnaround jumper often. She averaged 14.4 points per game and 6 rebounds.
Alesha Kaat- Fohr | Plymouth | Senior
A floor general for her team who stepped up when points were needed. Kaat- Fohr plays well without the basketball in her hands. She cuts hard, sets hard screens and gets open easily. She finishes strong in the lane and isn’t frazzled by contact. Kaat- Fohr averaged 10.4 points per game this season.
Megan Gerner | Kettle Moraine Lutheran | Senior
Helping to lead her team to the third spot in conference play this season was 5’9 Gerner. She’s a threat on both ends of the floor. This season she averaged 10.2 points per game and 6.4 rebounds. She uses her body well in the lane to create space to grab boards. She became super successful with her offensive rebounding, attributing to many of her made baskets this season.
