Grassroots Spotlight - Team Curry 17U   This program will be making their debut on the Girls Under Armour Circuit this Spring & Summer season, This is the top team in the program that is loaded with names that College coaches already know. I had a chance to speak with program Director: Ashley Rivens about what her US Association teams were going to look like and I am very impressed with what she is planning to put on the court this year.   2021 - [player_tooltip player_id="116871" first="Reigan" last="Richardson"] - 5’11” - Guard - Cannon School (NC) - 1 of the most talented players in her NC recruiting class, Dozens of Power 5 Schools have offered this 5’11” - Combo Guard that has a consistent Jump shot. This is the final summer of competition for Reigan and I am looking forward to the matchups with other highly rated players on the UA Circuit.   2021 - [player_tooltip player_id="116880" first="Mallorie" last="Haines"] - 5’10” - Guard - Davidson Day School (NC) - The Davidson Commit is coming off her 2nd consecutive NCISAA State Championship Victory and is playing at a high level. This summer will be a great opportunity to fine tune the skills that she will be taking to college in a little more than a year. Mallorie fits in so well on this team because of her high IQ & excellent shooting ability alongside these other players.   2022 - Talaysia Cooper - 6’0” - Guard - East Clarendon High School (SC) - This extremely athletic Guard has already surpassed the 2,000 point mark in her High School career, won a State Championship and is looking to establish herself as a top prospect in the Nation in her class. This opportunity to play alongside this level of talent on the UA Circuit will catapult her name in with the top 25 prospects in Nation.   2021 - [player_tooltip player_id="116877" first="Tanajae" last="Hayes"] - 5’6” - Guard - Vance High School (NC) - The floor General of this team has opened up people’s eyes and will be 1 of the most watched players on this roster, Division 1 schools as high as Power 5 are interested to see her perform against players they are already recruiting. Hayes led her Vance team to an appearance in the NCHSAA 4A State Championship game this year before the school stoppages for Covid-19.   2021 - [player_tooltip player_id="116876" first="Mariah" last="Frazier"] - 6’0” - Guard - Ragsdale High School (NC) - Athletic perimeter defender that is a must watch for Division 1 College coaches, she holds multiple offers and other schools are expressing interest at this time. Mariah has led her Ragsdale team to deep runs in the NCHSAA 4A Playoffs the last 2 years including the Elite 8 in 2019, The Girls UA Platform will give her the matchups that college coaches need to see.   2022 - [player_tooltip player_id="116895" first="Amiya" last="Joiner"] - 6’2” - Forward - Farmville Central High School (NC) - Versatile, highly athletic Forward that can operate as a rim protector and has a high offensive skill set including strong ball handling and consistent mid-range jumpshot. Has a high Motor and leaping ability that she uses against taller players in the post, this will be a huge summer for Amiya and can put her in the conversation as 1 of the Top forwards in the country.   2021 - Zaria Clark - 5’9” - Guard - Gaston Day School (NC) - Athletic, High IQ player that can do it all on the floor, Can guard from point guard to power forward and center if needed. Down hill slasher that has a college ready frame, this will be an audition for Zaria to show the college coaches that have shown interest what they will be getting on campus.   2021 - Diamond Monroe - 5’10” - Guard - Ragsdale High SChool (NC) - Elon Verbal Commit is coming off a great season that saw her making her college commitment and return to the Starting lineup for a Playoff run in the NCHSAA 4A. This late addition to the team will be a major key to success on the Under Armour circuit this summer.   2021 - [player_tooltip player_id="116884" first="Nevaeh" last="Caldwell"] - 5’8” - Guard - Hopewell High School (NC) - Explosive athlete that can get to the rim in a blink of the eye, 1 of the most underrated players in this recruiting class. Had an outstanding junior year at Hopewell High School, took them to the 2nd round of the NCHSAA 4A Playoffs.   2021 - [player_tooltip player_id="116888" first="Amyhia" last="Moreland"] - 6’1” - Forward - Vance High School (NC) - Strong framed forward that has some great footwork on the block, skilled defender that can step out to the perimeter to make it difficult on guards. Can score from the block, short corner or mid-range with great consistency. Offers will be coming in heavy this summer.
