As I start to now take a look at some of the top players in Northeast Ohio, today we begin a run of top juniors over the next several days. With the sport of basketball being on hold, this is a great place to read about some of the key players in the Buckeye state who should draw attention for a chance to play at the next level.
<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong>Northeast Ohio Key Juniors- part 1</strong></span>
<strong>Kamarah Bender, 5-7 Warren G. Harding</strong>
Very quick and active from the point guard spot, able to pressure her defender into turnovers with her quick hands. Reads and anticipates well, and runs the floor well in transition on both offense and defense. Recovers well and can alter shots. Strong, physical player capable to using her body to her advantage under the boards.
<strong>Faith Burch, 6-1 Warren G. Harding</strong>
Strong and aggressive around the ball, runs the floor and controls the game well. Good handles in traffic, able to create plays for her team. Can penetrate and finish well at the rim. Has deep range from behind the arc from any angle on the floor. Good pull-up midrange shot. Alters shots with her long frame. Great footwork inside of five feet, able to score with a variety of moves.

Does the majority of her work around the rim. True 5 who controls the paint. Has great post moves and able to score with either hand at the rim. Very solid going to her left. Grace <span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>(pictured above) </strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">is a s</span></span>olid rebounder and a nice touch from the mid-range and out to beyond the arc when the is open. Can compete against the bigger post.
<strong>Maggie Long, 5-7 Wadsworth</strong>
Great sharp-shooter who can play either guard spot. Solid handles and can run the offense, or get in position to get a shot from the off-guard spot. Great off the dribble or with her feet set in catch-and-shoot opportunities. Just a strong and tough player who can play through contact. One of her strengths is her consistent on-ball defensive pressure.

Part of a traditionally solid program, and is among the better juniors in the area. She has added a dribble-drive aresenal to her game, which was primarily played beyond the arc in her first couple of years. Since she has expanded her game, she has made herself more of a threat on the floor. Capable of posting up smaller defenders and is comfortable with either hand in the post.
