Colleen McQuillen Colleen McQuillen 5'10" | SG Cresskill | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Cresskill
Bergen County has one of the best players in the state in McQuillen. She was near the top of the state in scoring with 737 points for an average of 25.4 points per contest. McQuillen was a dynamic scorer from game one. She can score at all three levels. McQuillen knocked down 65 three’s this season and was lethal in the lane. She finished with 120 free throws made as a junior. She will be one of the must watch players during her senior season.
Madison Schiller Madison Schiller 5'8" | CG Ramapo | 2022 State NJ (2022) | Ramapo
Schiller is one of the top ranked players in the Class of 2022. She is a big time scorer and can do it from all over the floor. She averaged 17.1 points per game as a sophomore. Schiller knocked down 97 free throws this season and led Ramapo in rebounding and assists as well. She is a multi-dimensional player that can succeed on both ends. Schiller has the ability to turn into one of the best players in the entire state, not just Bergen County.
Meghan Heaney (2022) | Dumont
Heaney emerged as a star during her sophomore season. She was Dumont’s leading scorer and helped them get to 23 wins on the season. She scored over 14 points per game and led the team with three steals. She was a true duel-threat. Heaney showed an ability to shoot from deep knocking down 36 three’s. She thrived at getting to the rim for some easy baskets. Heaney has a soft touch around the rim and is quick enough to get there at will.
Carley Martin (2021) | Lyndhurst
Martin was a dynamic scorer for Lyndhurst this season. She led the team with 16.2 points per contest. Martin hit 34 three’s and knew how to get inside and draw contact. Martin was a true perimeter player. She could play with or without the ball. Teams knew they had to keep an eye on Martin when she was out there. Martin will continue to be the team’s top option as a senior.
Aly Novick (2021) | Glen Rock
Glen Rock finished 19-9 this season behind the efforts of Novick. She led the team in scoring, free throws made, and three-point shooting. Novick was quick with or without the ball. She knew how to run the break and was always ready for an outlet pass. Novick is an agile wing that can dominate on both ends.
Sanai Hawley (2022) | Leonia
Leonia found their next big time player in Hawley. She was near the top of the state in rebounding with 350 total and an average of 13 per game. She averaged a double-double on the season and added over two blocks and steals per game. She is a strong defender and showed ability on the block. Hawley has a high ceiling and will grow her game over the next two years of her career.
Ella Madden (2022) | Park Ridge
Madden is a candidate to be one of the fastest rising players in 2020-2021. Park Ridge is losing Shannon Burns and Lexi Vonderleith from a 19 win team this season. Madden is the top returning scorer and will immediately turn into the No. 1 option as a junior. Madden also led the team in steals and was third in rebounding. She has a chance to have a monster finish to her career given her wide skillset.
