Combu guards are extremely valuable for teams because of their versatility and ability to lead. Here are some of the big name combos in Somerset County.
[player_tooltip player_id="155451" first="Gissell" last="Gamble"] (2023) | Franklin
Gamble came into Franklin and made quite the impression in her first season. [player_tooltip player_id="134599" first="Keona" last="Schenck"] led Franklin and taught Gamble was it was like to be a leader. With Schenck graduating, it is up to Gamble to step up. She showed that ability being the team’s third leading scorer and knocking down 22 three’s.
Andrea Katramados (2021) | Montgomery
Katramados finished the season as one of the top shooters in the county with 36 made three’s. She was also a strong ball handler in the open floor and could run the break better than most. Katramados has great agility and speed in the open floor and she can use it in the half court to get in the lane.
Bella Murray (2022) | Watchung Hills
Murray took a big step for Watchung Hills as a sophomore. She finished top three on the team in points, rebounds, and assists. She was also a big time playmakers on the defensive end. Murray is the definition of a combo guard and that works well for Watchung Hills given they have many guards to can lead the offense.
Olivia Gaspar (2022) | Hillsborough
Gaspar was a do it all guard for Hillsborough this season. If she was needed to score, she did it. If the team needed her to run the offense, she could do that as well. Gaspar is a dynamic shooter from all over the floor and can get in the lane at will.

Pellecchia was the outside presence to compliment [player_tooltip player_id="134611" first="Christina" last="Dalce"]. If Pellecchia works a consistent jump shot into her game, she will become an even bigger playmaker.
