Nijah Tanksley (2022) | Bridgeton
Tanksley took a massive step during her sophomore season. She led Bridgeton with 15.1 points per game in her second season. She also averaged over four steals per game. Tanksley dominated on both ends using her speed. She had a knack at getting to the rim and scoring easy baskets. She will continue to get better and put up big numbers for Bridgeton as an upperclassman.
Egypt Owens (2023) | Vineland
Vineland seems to have their next star in Owens. She led the team in scoring, assists, and steals. Owens scored 12.7 points per game and also finished second on the team in rebounds. Owens got better as the season went on scoring in double-figures in the final eight games of the season. She has three more years left and she will become a household name in Cumberland County.
Tatyana Chandler (2021) | Bridgeton
Chandler was a stat sheet filler that could do it all. She knocked down 33 three’s and averaged over three assists, steals, and rebounds per game. As a senior, Chandler will continue to be one of the leaders for a Bridgeton team that won 15 games this season.
Taleah Robinson (2021) | Cumberland
Robinson was a force on both ends of the floor. She averaged 12.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a junior. She is a stretch four that can play down low or on the perimeter. She thrived at scoring around the rim using her soft touch and finishing with contact. She led the team with 71 made free throws this season. Robinson will be a must watch player in the county this season.
Madison Ratliff (2022) | Vineland
Ratliff was a threat from anywhere on the floor, especially three-point range. She led Vineland with 34 made three’s and had a quick trigger that could go off from anywhere. Opposing teams had to always know where she was on the floor and that was difficult given her ability to move without the ball.
Sha’naja Williams (2021) | Millville
Williams showed her ability to score at all three levels. She knocked down 24 three’s and could get in the lane and score over larger defenders. Williams is an agile guard with great athleticism that can take over a game on the offensive end.
