Prep Girls Hoops Missouri continues it spotlight of grassroots teams with a look at the Mo Phenom Columbia 17U team, which features a group of excellent Class of 2021 and 2022 players from Mid-Missouri). <h4>Roster</h4> [player_tooltip player_id="106887" first="Lauren" last="Brandt"] 5’8" Fatima (’21): Talented guard who plays well without the ball and can knock down open 3-pointers. She knows how to get herself open. As a junior, she averaged 15 points, four rebounds and three assists while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range. [player_tooltip player_id="106883" first="Lindsey" last="Byers"] 5’10" Helias (’21): A smooth lefty guard who knows how to play the game at different speeds. She can get to the basket with stop and go moves and nice handles to get into open spaces. She can also score in the post with her height or go outside and knock down 3-pointers off the dribble. [player_tooltip player_id="107965" first="Savannah" last="Campbell"] 6’0" Rolla (’22): An athletic forward with a pretty polished game in the low post with good footwork and the ability to score over either shoulder and with both hands. She has good length, which enables her to play at the top of the press or protect the rim with her shot blocking. She is also an excellent passer who is always looking for the open teammate. Ali Kaimes 5’8" Nixa (’22): A solid wing player who is skilled enough to operate on the perimeter, yet tough enough to put in work in the paint, where she uses her crafty moves to score inside against bigger players. She knows how to work in tight spaces and play through contact to get buckets and draw fouls. She is very good on the drive. She also has good 3-point range with good ball handling and passing ability. She plays with a lot of savvy. Emily Leer 5’8" Hallsville (’21): A very unselfish guard who has a good set of fundamentals. She is an excellent passer with good court vision and the willingness to find the open teammate. She can also shoot the basketball with an high-arching 3-pointer. Kate Linnemeyer 5’7" Rock Bridge (’21): An excellent glue-type player who plays well without the basketball and always seems to be in the right spot at the right time. She's an excellent passer who keep the ball moving and keeps herself moving. She is also a capable 3-point shooter. [player_tooltip player_id="106898" first="Tristan" last="Porter"] 5’5" California (’21): An excellent point guard who has a little flair in her game, especially with her passing ability. She is a three-level scoring threat with deep shooting range and a quick release. She averaged 15 points and four assists while making 54 3-pointers in leading her team to a 21-6 record. [player_tooltip player_id="106875" first="Mary" last="Primus"] 5’8" Rock Bridge (’21): Talented guard who was one of the standout players on the Bruins' Class 5 Final Four team last season. She is an excellent defensive player with a pair of quick hands that are capable of picking the pocket on an opposing ball handler in an instant. She is a nice 3-point shooter with a good feel for the game. She is very good when she is attacking the basket and she is an excellent finisher at the rim with a nice floater to go along with it. She has good moves around the basket with the ability to catch the ball in traffic and get buckets.
