Rachel Capua Rachel Capua 5'9" | SG Jackson Memorial | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Jackson Memorial
Jackson Memorial had one of the best one-two punches in the state this season. Capua, along with Kristina Donza Kristina Donza 5'9" | SG Jackson | 2020 State NJ , dominated in every game the played this season. Capua knocked down 62 three’s and averaged 19 points per game. She was a duel-threat with 4.2 steals per game as well. Capua will enter her senior season as one of the best players in New Jersey.
Kya Joseph Kya Joseph 5'7" | SG Barnegat | 2022 State NJ (2022) | Barnegat
Joseph as arrived in Ocean County. She was one of the county’s leading scorers with 18 points per game and was a big time rebounder from the guard position. Joseph was a scorer at all three levels knocking down 34 three’s and getting to the line with ease. It will be exciting to see what Joseph does as an upperclassman.
Gabriella Ross (2023) | Manchester Township
North Carolina bound forward Destiny Adams Destiny Adams 6'3" | SF Manchester | 2021 State #26 Nation NJ will grab most headline for Manchester, but it is hard to ignore the talent they have in the Class of 2023. Ross and Angelica Velez Angelica Velez 5'6" | PG Webb Bell-Buckle | 2023 State TN will be a strong duo on the perimeter for many years. Ross showed that she is a capable shooter from deep and can run an offense smoothly. She is a combo guard that can do it all on the offensive end.
McKayla Mooney (2021) | Lacey
Mooney was the second leading scorer for Lacey this season. She was their best option from three-point range and it showed early and often. She was also second on the team in free throw shooting. Mooney is a legit scoring threat that can take over a game when need be.
Lila Shaver (2021) | Point Boro
Shaver took the next step for Point Boro this season and the same is expected for her final season. She added a legitimate three-point ball to her game and it proved to be one of her best attributes. It will be interesting to see what Shaver adds to her age for 2020-2021.
Sydney Howell (2022) | Toms River North
Howell has what it takes to become the next big star in Ocean County. She did most of her work from deep with 40 made three’s but she showed flashes of strong ball handling getting to the basket. With two years left, Howell can perfect her game and become a threat for the Mariners.
