Below is a list of the Top 10 players in the city of Waukesha. These rankings were based on skill and success thus far. The teams considered in the rankings were Waukesha North, Catholic Memorial, Waukesha South and Waukesha West.
1. Alyssa Nimz | Catholic Memorial | 6’0 F | Junior
A strong post player who can play inside and out. She leads Waukesha because of her ability to impact the game on both ends. She led her team in scoring with 18.6 points per game. She has a great eye and feel for the game and can score from many places on the floor. Nimz is an athletic guard who can handle and score on the post. She currently holds an offer from Northwest Missouri State.
2. Caden Krohn Caden Krohn 6'0" | PF Waukesha West | 2023 State WI | Waukesha West | 6’0 F | Freshman
The impact post player led her team in scoring this season as a freshman. She stepped up and became an impact player for her team this season. She averaged 10.8 points per game. She can push the ball in transition and isn’t afraid of the outside shot. She creates her own shot on the perimeter and is effective off the pass. This season she made 39 three point baskets. A defensive standout as well, Krohn is a strong rebounder for Waukesha West.
3. Olvia Osborn | Waukesha North | 5’6 G | Junior
Osborn has been a go-to player for her squad the past three seasons. She is floor general and has great on-court communication. The junior standout finished with 12.5 points per game. She pushes the ball in transition and has a great mid range game. She’s beyond confident beyond the arc and made 41 three point baskets this season.
4. Ashlyn Skinner- Barrett | Waukesha South | 5’8 PG | Sophomore
The Waukesha South standout has become a great floor general for her team. She is patient and poised with the basketball and knows exactly when to attack the basket. She averaged 8.3 points per game for Waukesha South. In a game against Kettle Moraine she finished with a season-high 23 points. A great passer as well, Skinner- Barrett improved her ability to get her teammates involved this season.
5. Jordyn Hudson | Waukesha West | 5’7 G | Sophomore
Hudson is a strong guard who has impacted her team the past two seasons. She is a scrappy guard who balances her body well at the basket. She has a quick hesitation dribble and can attack the basket with force. She is a perimeter scorer as well for her team. She is range effective. Hudson made 30 three pointers this season.
6. Kelly McIntyre | Waukesha North | 6’0 F | Junior
The Waukesha North junior had a standout season this year and really stepped up her defensive skills. She became a powerful rebounder who uses her body well in the paint. She averaged 8.3 rebounds per game. She does a great job at keeping the ball high and finishing with a nice touch on the glass. A scoring threat as well, McIntyre finished the season with 8.5 points per game.
7. Erica Sweet | Waukesha North | 5’9 G | Junior
Sweet saw a lot of minutes for her squad this season. She’s an athletic player who seems to give 100% the entire game. She impacts her team in multiple ways and does a great job getting her teammates open. She creates a shot for herself offensively as well and doesn’t shy away from contact. The junior averaged 6.3 points per game.
8. Abby Arend | Catholic Memorial | 5’10 F | Junior
Arend is a key role player for Catholic Memorial that really helped them into their successful seasons. She is a strong post player who has great footwork on the block. A primarily inside scorer, Arend has a bag full of crafty post moves. This season she averaged 6.9 points per game and 4.7 rebounds.
9. Madeline Andersen | Waukesha West | 5’10 F | Freshman
Andersen is a versatile forward who can affect the game in multiple ways. She is a great combination of height and ball handling that make her hard to defend. She is certainly the player to watch on this list as she is only a freshman with such a large ceiling. This season she averaged 8 points per game for Waukesha West.
10. Izzie Holcomb | Catholic Memorial | 5’6 G | Junior
A scrappy defender who impacts the game with her ability to grab steals. She’s super light on her feet and has great footwork to beat her opponent to the spot. She earns a lot of points per game simply off her causing turnovers and being able to capitalize on the offensive end. This season she averaged 6.8 points per game for her team.
