Anisha Able (2022) | Barringer
Able was one of the top rebounders in the state with 347 total for an average of 18.1 per game. She also blocked 115 shots which is god for over five per contest. Able was truly dominant. She finished with 17 double-doubles and had double-digit rebounds in every game. She almost completed the extremely rare quadruple-double in a win over West Side. Able posted 16 points, 24 rebounds, 10 blocks, and nine steals. Just two games later, she totaled 24 points and 25 rebounds against Golda Och.
Ryan Cannataro (2021) | Cedar Grove
Cannataro set the tone for her junior season in game two with 29 points and 15 rebounds in a win over Passaic Charter. This was one of six games with double-digit rebounds. She was an elite scorer from anywhere on the floor. She knocked down 13 three’s but thrived on the block. She is a duel-threat player that can take over a game on offense.
Kaijhe Hall (2021) | Columbia
Hall led Columbia in rebounds and blocks in her third season. She was also one of the top scorers and free throw shooters. Hall made a name for herself as one of the top defenders in the county. She has great instincts and footwork down low on both ends. This makes her a threat on the block on offense and tough to score against on defense.
Aliyah Sanchez (2022) | Bloomfield
It was a tough season for Bloomfield but they had Sanchez rise up as one of their main contributors on both ends. She averaged six rebounds per game and was one of the top rim protectors. Sanchez has a soft touch around the rim and can score off putbacks. Her game will grow and progress during her final two years.
Celine Jobson (2021) | Orange
Orange has a threat down low that they can run their offense through for one more year. Jobson can defend at a high level and is a scorer on the block. She will perfect her moves on the block heading into her final season. This is a player that can climb up rankings and open some eyes.
Ronshanae Austin (2023) | Paterson Eastside
Austin showed great promise during her first season. She did most of her work on the boards and on the defensive end. She will step into an increased role as a scorer as her career goes on. Austin has an extremely high ceiling that she has not even come close to yet.
