Maddie Gore Maddie Gore 5'11" | PF Newton | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Newton
Gore scored her 1,000th point during her junior season where she averaged 17.1 points per game. She is one of the top players in the Class of 2021 in New Jersey. gore grabbed 7.1 rebounds per game as well during the year. She led her team in free throws made with 72. Gore is a quick footed forward with strong hands. She is a dominant scorer in the post and can step out to midrange to shoot. She will be a dynamic player in her final season to keep an eye on.
Brynn McCurry Brynn McCurry 6'1" | PF Sparta | 2023 State NJ (2023) | Sparta
There is some serious young talent on Sparta and it begins with McCurry. McCurry, along with Bailey Chapman and Ally Sweeney Ally Sweeney 5'8" | SG Sparta | 2023 State NJ , has Sparta in a great position given they are all members of the Class of 2023. McCurry led the team in scoring with 16.9 points and rebounding with 9.9 per game. She is a double-double threat every time out. McCurry can score from anywhere on the floor and gets to the line with ease. At 6’1, she is a threat on both ends and will continue to grow her game even further throughout her high school career.
Rose Hickman (2021) | Veritas Christian
Hockman was a defensive anchor for Veritas Christian. She did work at all three levels scoring the ball but her true dominance was on defense. She could block shots down low on the block or get in the passing lane for steals. She knew where the outlet pass was off rebounds and turned defense into quick offense.
Camryn Cobb (2022) | Hopatcong
Cobb was one of the top rebounders in the county just a season ago with nearly nine per game. Cobb and Christy Brennan Christy Brennan 5'5" | PG Hopatcong | 2022 State NJ are the future for this team and they create great balance. Cobb also finished with nearly two steals per contest. She is a duel-threat big that can contribute in many ways.
Mikayla Caruso (2022) | Kittatinny
Kittatinny had a very balanced offensive attack. Caruso was near the top of their scoring charts and led by a wide margin in rebounding with 7.4 per game. She also led the team in blocks given her strong presence down low.
Erin Anderson (2023) | Wallkill Valley
Wallkill Valley had plenty of scoring this season so Anderson was not asked to do so much. She could not help but dominate the glass and on the defensive block. She averaged over six boards per game and was a menace to opposing teams. She showed great promise for the future and will eventually be called upon to lead the offense.
