AAU Preview: Wisconsin Impact Blue Coached By: Goran Nikolic Below is a breakdown of the WIsconsin Impact Blue roster. Each player is from Wisconsin and the eight man team consists of seven class of 2021 prospects and one prospect from the class of 2023. The team plays a super up-tempo game. With a group full of athletic girls, WI Impact thrives on their ability to get up and down the court and high pressure defense throughout the entire game. [player_tooltip player_id="155776" first="Khendel" last="Rolison"] | 5’8 G | Homestead A smooth guard who is super athletic on the floor. She’s fast and fundamentally sound. A great overall player for Impact who is also resilient on defense. She has great on ball pressure and uses her quickness to stay in front of opponents. Sara Kasar | 5’6 G | Oak Creek The shooter of the team, Kasar is a sniper from beyond the arc. She’s a facilitator for her team and runs the offense. However she has an eye for her shot. Kasar will shoot the three from the pass but also excels at creating the shot on her own. She has great footwork setting up for the perimeter shot. Emma Thistle | 5’4 G | Kettle Moraine Lutheran A three point specialist as well, Thistle can knock down perimeter shots for her team. She’s more effective off the pass and is constantly setting up for her shot in the corner. Her hands are always ready and she moves well without the ball. A great passer as well, Thistle will certainly dish out multiple assists per game. Angela Slattery | 5’11 F | Union Grove A three year varsity letter winner at Union Grove, Slattery has continued to improve her game each season. A strong forward with guard-like abilities, Slattery has a scorers mentality. She can be counted on for consistent buckets each game. A powerful rebounder, Slattery impacts the game with her offensive put back buckers. She developed her perimeter scoring as well and will definitely knock it down from deep. Cameron Hoffman | 5’10 F | New Berlin Eisenhower Hoffman is a versatile forward who can play inside and out. She is a shooter and does well hitting the three point basket off a screen or setting herself up off the pass. She can get up and down and thrives off her transition baskets. Hoffman is continuing to develop her mid range game but can attack the paint and finish strong against contact. Lexi Bugajski | 6’0 F | New Berlin Eisenhower Bugalski is the only class of 2023 player on this Wisconsin Impact squad. Rightfully so, the New Berlin Eisenhower standout plays with a lot of experience. She’s confident with the ball and is powerful in the lane. She moves well without the ball and doesn’t force her shot but can knock it down mid range. She is also a solid shot blocker with great balance. Nikki Dienberg | 5’7 G | New Berlin Eisenhower A triple threat for Wisconsin Impact, Dienberg does all things right for her team to win. She understands her role on the court and seems to have a high basketball IQ. Her spacing and movement without the ball make her a super special player as she finds unique ways to get open and score the basketball. She’s a pass first guard and finds her teammates open cutting to the basket. She does a great job passing the ball to her post players. Dienberg has a fast release to her shot that is hard to defend. Vanessa Solano | 5’5 G | Martin Luther A floor general for Wisconsin Impact, Solano makes everyone around her better. She gets everyone involved and sets the tempo of the game when she’s on the court. She plays with a lot of swag on offense and is confident handling the ball. She’s crafty attacking the rim and uses her body to create contact and draw the foul. An offensive threat for Impact, Solano has a smooth release and soft touch to her perimeter shot.
