AAU Team Preview: MAC Basketball 2021

Tonight we head up north to take a look at the MAC Basketball program under the direction of Kevin McNamara. A look at their oldest team, the 2021s ready to make a college decision. MAC Basketball 2021 Team Outlook: Fast and physical this team plays downhill. They get at you full court with relentless pressure. A combination of slashers with 3 point specialists so when the floor is spaced you have to pick your poison. Length to defend and can score from the perimeter. Ally Ross- Lorain County Player of the Year 20.6 PPG 1st Team All District, All Ohio Consummate athlete who outworks her opponent. Tough, strong physique to get to the rim. [player_tooltip player_id="91096" first="Lydia" last="Gattozzi"]- Conference MVP, 1st Team All District, All Ohio. Not afraid to use her body to move you out of the way. Knows how to get to the rim and score with either hand. Emily Rapacz- Length to defend a 2 guard or a stretch 4. Excellent game with good athleticism. Megan Duffy- A pure PG who has the pass first mentality. Maddie Pietrowski- A floor general. Controls tempo on both ends and has an excellent mid range game. Lauren Galaska- 1st Team All District, All Ohio. Speed and toughness rolled into one. The best on ball defender in our area. Grace Simon- 25’ plus she can knock them down with consistency. Smooth shooter who also has an eye for the cutter. Emma Knick- 1st Team All District, All Ohio. On both ends has a burst to get ahead of most. Athletic enough to play and defend a 1 or 2 guard.
