Amanda DiMase (2021) | Wood-Ridge
It was a strong season for Wood-Ridge led by their two dynamic forwards in the Class of 2021. DiMase and Samantha Eckert were both double-double machines. DiMase led the team with 13 points per game and grabbed just under eight boards per game.
Maya Winters (2022) | Cliffside Park
Winters averaged over 13 points per game in her second high school season. Entering her junior campaign, Winters will be the top option for Cliffside Park and one of the top overall players. She leads a group of young players who gained some needed experience in 2019-2020.
Destiny Ndio (2022) | Lodi
There are not many true centers left in the game but Ndio is one, and a good one. She grabbed 12 rebounds per game and was a strong presence on both ends. Ndio has quick feet and strong hands which helps rebounding and defending. Se will continue to grow her game and become more complete during her years as an upperclassman.
Katie Weber (2022) | Glen Rock
Weber was one of Glen Rock’s leading scorers as a sophomore. She is a player with an extremely high ceiling and could turn into on o the top post players in the state. She has a soft touch around the rim and can score in many ways from anywhere on the floor.
Angelina Torres (2021) | North Arlington
Torres is a true stretch four. She can play multiple positions on both ends. Her versatility helps North Arlington an gives them many options for their sophomore. Torres was North Arlington’s leading rebounder with11 per game and second in scoring and free throw shooting.
Francesca Matraxia (2022) | Becton
Becton has their next great big in Matraxia. She can score at will in the lane or veer out to the three-point line. Matraxia has a smooth jump shot and is strong with the ball on the block. She is a playmaker that can take over a game on the offensive end.
Ella Madden (2022) | Park Ridge
Madden emerged as a star for Park Ridge during her sophomore year. She is a threat on both ends. Madden was near the top of the team in assists and steals. She is a talented passer out of the post which helps when a double-team comes.
