As we look for other ways to cover prospects we thought it would be beneficial to cover players in a way that allows us to cover those we don’t write much about. We will be using the region’s from last season as they were constructed.
Obviously, these regions will change into next season but for these stories it was the easiest way to divide players and teams as equally as possible.
We will be writing a series of three stories for each region in the state and the categories are as follows: 2023’s to put on Your Radar, 2022’s who can Breakout, and 2021’s Who Should be Valued by Colleges.
We will continue to go through each region and aim to hit as many players as we can that we haven’t talked about previously. Here are four 2023’s who need to be on your radar.

Woodward-Granger had a strong year, winning 18 games and reaching the regional semifinal before a tough loss to Van Meter.
The Hawks should be primed for another big campaign with the return of players like [player_tooltip player_id="63023" first="Finley" last="Fitzgerald"].
A freshman, Fitzgerald scored 197 points with 62 rebounds, 41 steals and 22 assists, knocking down 18 three-pointers.

A second piece to the youth movement at Colfax-Mingo, Abigayle Rawlins recorded 126 total points with 31 rebounds and 11 steals as a freshman.
Rawlins knocked down 34 percent of her shots and made 12 three-pointers on the year.
[player_tooltip player_id="63057" first="Ellie" last="Flanagan"] - North Linn
In her first season of varsity basketball, North Linn freshman [player_tooltip player_id="63057" first="Ellie" last="Flanagan"] experienced history, helping the Lynx win the Class 2A state title.
The run included an incredible rally against West Hancock in the semifinals.
During the year, Flanagan played in all 27 games, making three starts. With a talented group of seniors set to depart, she’ll be counted on to improve upon her 97 points, 29 rebounds, 19 assists and 10 steals.
Ella Santi - Madrid
Madrid’s Ella Santi led all freshman in the region with 39 assists last year, adding 94 total points, 42 rebounds and 34 steals.
Santi, who started all 21 games, should be even more impressive in 2020-21 with improvements in her overall shooting from the field and long-range.
