Aaliyah Amos (2021) | Arts
Amosemerged as a star for Arts this season. She did not have a consistent jump shot but when she adds one, she will truly be dangerous. Amos led the team with 86 made free throws. She knew how to get inside and finish with contact. She is a dynamic scorer and someone that can come up with steals on the defensive end.
Grace Ajiboye (2023) | Technology
Ajiboye was one of the bright spots during a tough season for Technology. She emerged as the team’s leading scorer in her first season. Ajiboye was a threat from all over the floor and could shoot with range from the three-point line.
Emily Alers-Gonzalez (2021) | Newark East Side
Gonzalez was one of the top defenders in the state. She averaged just under seven steals per game for Newark East Side. On the offensive end, Gonzalez led the team in assists and was one of their main options on the offensive end. She showed great versatility because she could play multiple positions.
Tylera McBribe (2021) | Weequahic
McBribe is a guard that can play all five positions on the floor. She was one of the top guns for Weequahic along with Aaliyah Harrison. She averaged 15 points and 8.1 rebounds per game as a junior. McBribe could play with or without the ball and was always moving on the offensive end.
Tyra Smith (2021) | Arts
Smith was second on the team in scoring behind Amos. This duo in the backcourt showed an ability to switch roles when need be. Smith was an elite level ball handler in the open court and could run the offense in the half court. She is a strong rebounder and decision maker.
