SE Ohio Players to Watch- 2022 pt. 1

Let’s head back down into Southeast Ohio today for a look at some of the top 2022 players in that part of the Buckeye state. Today’s group are all players who will hopefully get to display their talents this summer and draw attention from college coaches in that area. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="159366" first="Cameron" last="Zinn"], 5-10 McArthur Vinton County</strong></span> Known for her defense presence, Cameron is a long and lanky, athletic wing who gets in good position to block shots around the rim. Moves very well and is active. Good handles, can beat the defense down the floor in transition, and not afraid to get to the rim and finish. Her perimeter game is solid, can launch from beyond the arc. Love this kids motor and intensity. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Abby Hicks, 5-6 Coal Grove</strong></span> Enjoy watching this kid play, has a high level of energy. Good handles, can switch hands and put the ball on the floor and make things happen. Sees the floor well, will draw the defense to her and find the open player. Loves to pass for the better shot. Can slash to the rim and finish around contact. Knows where to be on the floor and who needs to have the ball in their hands to score. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32621" first="Faith" last="Stinson"], 6-1 Thornville Sheridan</strong></span> This kid has the complete package. A long athletic player who can play multiple positions on the court. Very solid around the rim with either hand and can finish. Seals her body well against her defender. Good court speed and can play north-south in transition. Excellent handles, will outrun most people down the floor and finish the play. Good soft touch around the rim. I like her more everytime I see her play. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="159367" first="Mallory" last="Hawley"], 5-10 Pomeroy Meigs</strong></span> Another younger player with a high ceiling and strong potential. Has deep range from the perimeter, can score from beyond the arc. Good anticipation for the ball on defense, and can turn it into an opportunity to score for her team. Can run the floor in transition, good footwork in transition and can finish at the rim. Midrange pull-up is strong. <strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Katelyn Webb, 5-1 Jackson</span></strong> Fiery point guard with a high motor. Not afraid of anyone on the floor. Has a solid all-around game. Can defend with her on-ball quickness, forcing turnovers and gives her team scoring chances. Great handles, can score inside or outside. Good range from the perimeter.
