Jakira Coar (2021) | Lincoln
Coar finished the season as the top shooter in Jersey City. She did most of her work from deep with 42 three’s. Coar showed off a quick release and ultimate range from beyond the arc. Lincoln was not afraid about running her off screens to get the ball in her hands.
Mavi Nageeb (2022) | Dickinson
Nageeb led Dickinson in scoring with 12 points per game. She emerged as one of the premiere players in Jersey City. Nageeb was a threat from all three levels on the floor and that includes the three-point line. She knocked down 28 three’s and got into the lane consistently for easy baskets. Nageeb is a quick guard that can handle the ball in the open floor or run an offense in the half court.
Sidney Williams (2021) | University
Williams was one of University’s top guns during a 24 win season. She dominated from the perimeter and rebounding the ball. Williams knocked down 22 three’s on her way to 10 points per game. She was a duel-threat player as a junior coming up with two steals and two blocks per game.
Kristen Rojas (2022) | McNair
It was a tough season for McNair but Rojas emerged as one of the diamonds. She proved to be a lethal shooter from deep that could heat up after just one make. She moved well without the ball on the perimeter. Rojas knew how to find the open spot on the floor to get a shot off.
Briunna Dennis (2022) | METS Charter
METS Charter had a lot of experience this season. They will be graduating many seniors who were key players in 2019-2020. Dennis is one of the returners that will play a key role on the team next season. She will have a chance to step into an extended role and complete her game as an upperclassman.
