Wisconsin Impact One- Day Event Takeaways Saturday, June 13th at Center Court in Waukesha 47 games were played. The one-day event consisted of multiple talented teams from Class of 2027 to Class of 2021. Many teams stood out and played so well together- most of them playing their first tournament of the season. Below is a list of the top players who stood out and are players to watch as summer action gets rolling. 1. Ally Timm | Wisconsin Impact 2024 | 5’9 G | DSHA | 2024 Timm was definitely the most exciting player to watch during the event. She is crazy athletic and super skilled. Her first game against 1 of 1, Timm showed her athleticism and each game after she performed at such a high level. A sniper from beyond the arc, Timm can shoot the ball. She’s confident and can knock it down from the pass or create her own shot. She’s a lanky guard with impressive handles. She’s patient on offense, moves well without the ball and is composed attacking the rim. She’s versatile, knocking down mid-range, floaters and layups all tournament long. On defense, Timm is light on her feet and has solid footwork pressuring the ball. A must watch prospect for college coaches! 2. Lexi Bugajski | Wisconsin Impact Blue | 6’0 F | New Berlin Eisenhower | 2023 A strong post player in the 2023 class, Bugajski is playing up with the class of 2021. She has a great combination of size and skill that makes her such a talented prospect. She can run the floor well and attack from the perimeter. She is strong in the lane and versatile with so many different looks from the block. She moves well without the ball and doesn’t force anything on offense. She worked well with her other teammates to move the ball and create space. On defense, Bugajski will be the go-to shot blocker for her team with her great footwork and balance. 3. Michelle Certain | Bridgwater Elite 2023 | 5’6 G | Greenfield | 2023 A great overall player who ran the show for her team, Certain was the go-to scorer on Saturday. An effective scorer, Certain showed a range of ways to score the basketball. She can attack from the outside and has a smooth finish to her shot. She can shoot the mid-range as well and impacts the game with her versatility in her shot selection. On defense she is scrappy, chasing after loose balls and grabbing steals with her on ball defense. Certain has a strong attack to the basket and can knock down free throw shots as well. 4. Gabby Wilke | Wisconsin Impact 2024 | 6’0 F | Beaver Dam | 2024 Wilke is a solid presence for her team. She’s a versatile forward who can play inside and out. She’s strong in the lane and has multiple crafty moves that she finishes with authority. A confident outside shooter as well- Wilke will shoot the three-pointer anywhere on the court with defensive pressure. She’s the go-to post for her team and uses her size well to rebound the basketball. Wilke wants the ball in her hands and will improve her handles to be able to dribble up the floor and attack stronger from the perimeter. She is fast in transition and a valid shot blocker for Impact as well. 5. Tess Wiczek | Wisconsin Impact 2024 | 5’7 PG | Whitnall | 2025 The class of 2025 standout had an impressive event as she played with so much poise. She seemed to be an experienced point guard with confidence running the offense for her team. Her handles were clean and precise. She did a great job setting the tempo for her squad. She has great balance on her attack and finished some great baskets in the lane. She was terrific on defense as well. She’s a super scrappy guard with quick hands. She grabbed multiple steals in each game. A great distributor to her shooters as well, Wiczek has a high basketball IQ. 6. [player_tooltip player_id="155772" first="CJ" last="Romero"] | 1 on 1 Milwaukee | 5’3 PG | Brookfield Central | 2021 A scrappy guard on defense, Romero knows how to alter the game with her footwork and ability to grab steals. She’s relentless with her on ball pressure and plays with a full tank the entire game. On offense she is the floor general for her 1 on 1 team. She runs the break and is the go-to ball handler against tough pressure. A great facilitator, Romero finds her teammates open so well. A confident shooter when necessary as well, Romero can knock it down from deep or attack with a crafty finish in the lane. 7. [player_tooltip player_id="155776" first="Khendel" last="Rolison"] | Wisconsin Impact Blue | 5’8 G | Homestead | 2021 Rolison was impressive setting the tone on offense for her team. She is a great overall player who was everywhere on the court for her team. She was resilient on defense, always pressuring the ball and using great footwork to stay in front. Rolison takes great shots on offense and uses her handles to create her own shot. An efficient passer as well, the junior finds her open teammates well and has a good eye for the long pass in transition. 8. [player_tooltip player_id="156070" first="Amayiah" last="Neilon"] | Bridgewater Elite 2023 | 5’5 PG | Greenfield | 2023 The point guard had a nice event and showcased a lot of new handles and confidence with the ball. Neilon is a shooter. She is effective from long range and has confidence shooting from anywhere on the floor. During the one day Waukesha event she shot a majority of mid-range baskets and capitalized on drawing the foul in the lane. She attacks with authority and isn’t frazzled by contact. The floor general for her Bridgewater Elite team, Neilon did a nice job finding her teammates open.
