Part 2
Below is an addition to the previously released players to watch. Each one of the players on this list compete at such a high level and are prospects for coaches and other teams to watch out for.
Chloe Van Zeeland Chloe Van Zeeland 6'1" | PF Kaukauna | 2021 State WI | Kaukauna | Flight Elite | 6’1 F
An offensive threat who can score in so many ways for her team. During her last season as a Kauakauna Ghost, Van Zeeland averaged 13.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Along with adding 2.8 assists per game, Van Zeeland has shown she can impact in so many ways. A versatile threat that is a major contributor on both her high school squad and for her grassroots. Her length, agility and mobility for her size are impressive and these also give her the ability to be a shot blocker in the paint. She also works well on the win and is comfortable with the ball on the perimeter if necessary. Van Zeeland’s mechanics and form are advanced for her build as well.
Chloe Dallas Chloe Dallas 6'2" | PF Wauwatosa East | 2021 State WI | Wauwatosa East | Flight Elite | 6’2 F
A tremendous athlete with an incredible bounce and body control. She is an extremely physical player than bullies smaller defenders into the lane and finishes with power when attacking the rim. She is a slasher through the paint and will look for opportunities to finish high on the glass. She has a quick release, making her pull-up jumper lethal for her size. She can handle the ball on the perimeter if necessary as well. For her high school squad, her teammates look for her to run the offense so she is comfortable with the ball in her hands. She has high energy and an electric motor that makes her very dynamic on the court.
Sammy Opichka Sammy Opichka 5'11" | CG Green Bay Notre Dame | 2021 State WI | Notre Dame | Flight Elite | 5’11 G
Opichka is a crafty lead guard that plays with great pace. She plays with poise and patience offensively, and she rarely gets sped up. She understands her size and does not try to be someone she is not, she is not one to force opportunities but rather she plays smart and lets the defense bite. When Opichka drives to the rim, she uses a quick pump fake and capitalizes on a wide open lane. She flares off the screen well and is impressive knocking down the jumper or long range three point shot.
Maddy Schreiber Maddy Schreiber 6'0" | CG Kimberly | 2021 State WI | Kimberly | Flight Elite | 5’11 G
A high energy, hustling and athletic guard who can play multiple positions for her squads. She has impressive length and her long strides allow her to get to the rim or recover on defense in a hurry. Her length also gives Schreiber tremendous offensive and defensive versatility; she will be able to play and defend multiple positions at the next level. She does a great job locking up quick guards. Her playmaking skills are beginning to show as well- she frequently creates for her team on offense. She plays well on the perimeter, where she seems to be the most comfortable, and she explodes in the open court. She has a wiggle to her in the lane and is swaggy when driving from the perimeter.
Lexi Day Lexi Day 5'8" | CG Hortonville | 2021 WI | Hortonville | Wisconsin Blaze | 5’9 G
Day finished second in scoring for her high school squad last season and has only scratched the surface of how good of a basketball player she can be. She is an incredibly shifty guard with a deep bag of dribble moves. She can be a shooter from beyond the arc, where she seems most comfortable and knock is down with consistency all game long. On the other hand, Day could be a go-to point guard and facilitator on any team as well. She has a great eye for the basketball and finding her teammates open. She is quick off the bounce and explodes fast past the defender and into the lane. She is slippery on the ball and many defenders seem to not be able to contain her. Specifically, Day is fantastic at splitting defenders with a dribble or a smooth euro-step-like move.
