Below is a list of players above 6 foot who are having great summer success in their Grassroot programs. Look for these players to continue to rise to the occasion and be impact prospects for their grassroots and high school squads.
Lily Hansford Lily Hansford 6'2" | SG Appleton East | 2022 State WI | Appleton East | Flight Elite | 6’2 W
A shooting specialist that can play both ways on the court. Her shooting ability, especially from range, is certainly her best attribute. She is comfortable shooting off the dribble or off the catch. She is also good at creating space for herself.
Grace Schmidt Grace Schmidt 6'0" | PF Watertown Luther Prep | 2022 State WI | Watertown Luther Prep | WI Lakers | 6’1 F
A super talented forward who can take over a game on both ends of the floor. On defense, Schmidt uses her body so well. She’s a strong player with a great defensive stance. She keeps her hands high in the lane and makes offensive players alter their shots. On offense, Schmidt can put up huge numbers for both her Watertown and WI Lakers squad. She is crafty in the lane, finishes strong and does so well drawing fouls. She finishes strong and is an offensive rebounding specialist.
Mya Moore Mya Moore 6'0" | PF Pius XI Catholic | 2022 State WI | Pius XI | WI Shooters | 6’1 F
A solid post player for her team, Moore has become a smooth shooter from mid-range and perimeter as well. She understands her body well and utilizes crafty moves to size up defenders. She has a high shot release and allows her to create space as well. She is a super physical player that gets her way in the lane and finishes with power at the rim.
Jordana Reisma Jordana Reisma 6'2" | SF Brown Deer | 2022 State WI | Brown Deer | WI Shooters | 6’2 W
Reisma’s high release is extremely advanced. She utilizes her height so well to get effective shots off around the perimeter. She has a great shot selection as well, rarely forcing anything on the offensive end. Reisma has improved her on-ball defending and uses her long arms to create a wide frame on defense. She will continue to work well in the half-court as she has such a great natural pace to her game.
Alaina Harper | Arrowhead | WI Lakers | 6’3 F
A strong presence in the lane for her WI Lakers squad. Harper is a versatile threat that contributes to much to this Lakers squad and will be a force come high school season for Arrowhead. She has great length and agility to her game and the ability to be an impressive shot blocker in the paint.
McKenna Monogue McKenna Monogue 6'0" | SF Middleton | 2022 State WI | Middleton | Flight Elite | 6’1 F
Monogue has emerged this season and showed how dynamic she can be on the court. She’s become an inside threat and could be a powerhouse in the lane if her team needed her. However, Monogue is almost too deadly beyond the arc to not spend all of her time out there. She’s an extremely talented three point shooter with a smooth release to her shot.
Logan Lowry Logan Lowry 6'0" | SF Appleton East | 2022 State WI | Appleton East | Flight Elite | 6’0 G
Lowry is a player teams should really look out for as she just begins to scratch the surface. She has great size for a post player and moves so well without the ball. Constantly cutting to get open, finding her shot on the perimeter or sealing on the post- Lowry finds great ways to get open. She is hard to defend as she is extremely versatile. Lowry can create her own shot on the block but is a specialist from beyond the arc. She can create her own shot from three, knock it down from the pass or most impressive- knock it down in transition.
Ashley Sawicki Ashley Sawicki 6'1" | SF Waunakee | 2022 State WI | Waunakee | Let It Rain | 6’1 F
Listed as a forward for her Let it Rain squad, Sawicki is much more versatile than that. She can step outside and knock down the basket or drive with impressive ball handling skills for her size. She’s truly a stretch 4 post that can do it all. She continues to improve her defense as well and could be a consistent shot blocker for her squad.
