Below is a list of players in the class of 2021 that have been huge in the success of their programs this summer and have a huge ceiling going into their final weeks and high school season.
Casey Jepson | West De Pere | WI Blaze | 5’8 G
Jepson has become a fantastic defender while playing with her Wisconsin Blaze team. She is consistent with the energy she brings each time she steps on the floor and she has such a high motor. She has the ability to create her own shot on offense with the dribble or using her speed to get open on the perimeter. Look for Jepson to continue to add to her facilitating skills this summer.
Alina Harmon | Neenah | WI Blaze | 5’10 G
Harmon is an elite off- ball guard that can knock down the perimeter shot as well. She has a smooth release and fluid flick of the wrist on her jumper. She is tremendous in catch-and-shoot scenarios, especially when running off screens or opening herself up within the offense. Her footwork on defense makes her super tough, especially as she uses her height to altar shots as well.
Ella Bialkowski | Green Bay Preble | Purple Aces | 5’9 G
Bialkowski seems to be continuing to improve different aspects of her game this summer. She’s a standout for her Green Bay Preble team offensively, and it’s been fun to watch her standout in other ways for the Purple Aces. A versatile guard who can pass, score and board for her squad, Bialkowski is very athletic. She has precision in her passing and elite court vision. She works very hard on the floor and is super scrapy.
Kacie Carollo | Whitewater | WI Academy | 5’8 G
A versatile talent with loads of upside for the future. Carollo is a key role player for her Wisconsin Academy team but has started to show glimpses of greatness on the court. She is phenomenal at exploding out of the triple threat position and beginning her downhill drive. She is great at creating space and finding her own shot within the offense. She functions incredibly well in the fast break where she can take it herself or distribute to cutting teammates.
Peighton Nelson | Monona Grove | WI Academy | 5’9 PG
Nelson is a crafty lead guard that plays with great pace. She plays with poise and patience offensively, and she rarely gets sped up. She understands her size and does not try to be someone she is not. She is not one to force opportunities but rather she plays smart and lets the defense bite. She has a very effective shot fake as well. She uses it well when bigger defenders think she is about to shoot in the lane. She is an advance defender that reads the passing lane well and often jumps passes to get steals.
Lindsay Kirby | Thomas More | 1 on 1 Milwaukee | 5’10 G
A key role player on this 1 on 1 squad, Kirby is an essential player for this teams success. She’s developed into a threat on both ends and commands attention on the floor. Her basketball IQ is very high and she has solid fundamentals. She can handle the ball and high pressure defense. She can attack when open but is oftentimes using her teammates to find the easiest shot. She has improved her defensive footwork as well- Kirby could guard 1-4 and not be a liability for this squad.
Olivia Bree | Wauwatosa West | 1 on 1 Milwaukee | 6’0 W
Bree is a highly athletic secondary guard with elite scoring ability. Her size and agility are extremely impressive. She moves so well and is very balanced for 6’0. She is composed on offense and can drive into the lane and finish strong through contact. She does well on the block and uses her body to draw fouls and finish at the line. She is an overall very smooth player with a patient pace of play. She’s a pure scorer and could impact from beyond the arc or in the lane.
