A very popular point guard from the class of 2022. Knock for her athletic play style and highlight-reel passes, the Flight Elite standout is drawing attention from so many outlets. She is one of the most explosive players in her class and if you don’t put a hand up Smith will knock it down in your face. She has continued to improve her shot, making it quicker and much more consistent. Smith can finish through traffic and isn’t afraid of contact. Her greatest strength besides facilitating and running the offense is probably her improved shooting, because defenders are forced to press up on her, so if she can get by them, it’s an easy layup. She has great athleticism and thrives on offense. She is aggressive on the offensive pass and can also put up a lot of points for her team.
Jordan Meulemans Jordan Meulemans 5'10" | CG De Pere | 2022 State WI | De Pere | Wisconsin Flight Elite | 5’11 W
Coming in as a guard for this starting five is a Meulemans who is super savvy with the ball. She has a great ability to handle the ball and is very comfortable with both hands. She keeps the ball on a string and does well pounding the ball. She has great court awareness and understands the spread of the floor very well. She knows how to get to her spots and find the open man. She has great straight line quickness; when she gets the ball going towards the basket, she can put one or two moves on a defender and it’s an easy layup. An impressive perimeter shooter as well, the WI Flight Elite standout does a great job setting up her shot and knocking it down consistently. .
Emily La Chapell Emily La Chapell 5'11" | CG Appleton East | 2022 State #57 Nation WI | Appleton East | Wisconsin Flight Elite | 5’11 W
La Chapell stands out for so many reasons as she is so incredibly dynamic. She is super explosive and knows how to play to her strengths. When she gets going downhill, it is very hard to stop. She uses her size well and has great elevation to her inside finish and perimeter shot. Her ball handling isn’t lacking much either. Her shot form is so smooth and when she’s on, she’s on. She has the potential to completely take over a game, and when she’s playing confidently, there aren’t many players that can stop her. She is fantastic on defense, playing with intensity and intelligence when guarding offensive players. The ability to play both ways is vital for the next level- she is already so advanced at that. Her offensive game is so impressive. La Chapell has a smooth jump shot and a great mid range pull up. She’s most deadly when driving through the lane and using her pivot foot to create the shot she wants.
Lily Hansford Lily Hansford 6'2" | SG Appleton East | 2022 State WI | Appleton East | Wisconsin Flight Elite | 6’2 W
A true shooter, Hansford may very well be the best perimeter shooter in her class. However if she has to handle the ball she can do it well. She is a very good jump shooter, often pulling up at the elbow extender area. She is great at sliding through defenders when attacking the rim after a pump fake on the perimeter. She seems to be quite a competitor on the floor and playing against tougher competition really elevates Hansfords game. She is exceptional at creating her own shot and can make them when they are heavily contested as well. She is a high volume shooter, but is also an energizer to her team.
Jordana Reisma Jordana Reisma 6'2" | SF Brown Deer | 2022 State WI | Brown Deer | Wisconsin Shooters | 6’3 F
Reisma can score at all three levels and has a great mid range fade-away. Reisma is much more athletic than her film may show. She pulls off insane finishes and shots from deep. At her size, everything she does seems so much more impressive. Her ability to split the defenders and finish through contact is superb, and she can score from outside as well. The ball leaves her hands high above her head, making it hard for the defender to contest fully. Also, her pull up jump shot continues to improve. She has great footwork for her size and can easily become a guard with a weaker defender. Reisma does a great job squaring her body before knocking down a perimeter basket. She gets her teammates involved as well when she is double teamed. She has surprisingly impressive handles and court vision as well.
Off the Bench:
Lily Krahn Lily Krahn 5'10" | CG Prairie Du Chien | 2022 State WI | Prairie Du Chien | Wisconsin Flight Elite | 5’10 G
Krahn brings a snappy and quick handle to the team. She maneuvers through players effortlessly. Krahn has a very quick first step that grants her the ability to get past her defender with ease. This also makes her capable of stopping on a dime which she is great at. She has a very consistent jumper off the bounce in the midrange. She has great athleticism and a feel for the game when she is on the court. She can play on and off the ball which makes her a super versatile player. She excels in the pick and roll by isolating the big man.
Kamy Peppler Kamy Peppler 5'9" | PG Hortonville | 2022 State WI | Hortonville | Wisconsin Flight Elite | 5’7 PG
A true point guard with great ball skills. Peppler is fantastic in the pick and roll- she can attack, pull up for a jumper, or dish to the screening big. This stems from her patience with the ball; which is arguably her greatest attribute. Peppler is so unbelievably comfortable with the ball that she can pretty much make the defense do what she wants. Her pace and flow freeze the defense, and it’s really impressive to watch. She has so much skill and maturity. She reads the defense well and knows when to create her own shot or find the open player. Peppler continues to improve her transition three pointer and has begun knocking more down this summer, along with a pull up three after a crafty dribble move that shakes the defender.
Mya Moore Mya Moore 6'0" | PF Pius XI Catholic | 2022 State WI | Pius XI | Wisconsin Shooters | 6’0 PF
Moore has incredible mobility and movement for her size. What she lacks in athletic ability (which is not much), she makes up for with fundamentals. She has a great drop-step move, where she gets the defender going one way, then seals her off with her body allowing Moore to get an easy shot inside. This is a testament to her footwork inside the lane; it’s very calculated and precise. She is a very coordinated post player. She can finish with either hand around the rim effortlessly as well. Moore plays smart defense as well and doesn’t draw fouls while playing post defense.
