The top ranked point guard in the Senior class is off the board as Brooklyn Miles has committed to Tennessee. There is some quality depth in the 2021 point guard group and here are some floor generals who could use more college attention.
[player_tooltip player_id="88428" first="Braylee" last="McMath"], Great Crossing - Likely the best scorer on this list, McMath averaged 18 points per game as a Junior and led Great Crossing to 16 wins in the first season in school history. Her shooting splits of 47/37/80 are beyond respectable. Braylee recently picked up an offer from D2 Christian Brothers but shouldn’t be overlooked as a D1 level recruit. She’s shown she can score with the best of them and her skill level and size project very well to the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="88430" first="Kayra" last="Freeman"], Elizabethtown - She started her career at John Hardin and suffered a knee injury that cost her a season. Now Freeman needs to reclaim her top spot amongst 2021 point guards in the state. She’s going to be counted on for a much larger scoring role next year at E-Town and is likely to be among the best Seniors in the 5th region if she’s all the way back to 100%. To my knowledge, Kayra has no offers right now. Even if she does, she can earn more offers as she goes through her Senior season and should be a scholarship level player in college.
[player_tooltip player_id="88453" first="Morgan" last="Flanagan"], St Henry - Saint Henry is a sleeper team for the 9th region title and certainly is in the driver’s seat to be the best "A" school in northern Kentucky. Flanagan is the engine that makes the Crusaders go. Morgan is a great distributor of the ball and does a little bit of everything for her team. She handles the ball, she scores, she rebounds and defends. All at a high level. She should be a contender for First Team All Region in the 9th and should be getting more college love.
[player_tooltip player_id="154502" first="Sydney" last="Lockard"], Dixie Heights - Another overlooked prospect in Northern Kentucky, Lockard is a do it all guard who thrives as a scorer but is likely best suited as a facilitator when she gets to college. Sydney is a contender for 9th region player of the year but should be getting more college attention. Thomas More and Claflin University offered Sydney early on and Alabama A&M came with an offer back in May but I wouldn't be surprised if she racked up more D1 offers in the next few months.
