Prep Girls Hoops Missouri goes into the Film Room for the first time to check out a game between All-Missouri Attack and MO Phenom Columbia from Session 3 at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Des Moines. This very competitive game between Missouri-based clubs went down to the final shot of the game with All-Missouri Attack taking a 55-54 victory. Here is a look at some of the top prospects from that game. [player_tooltip player_id="106890" first="Lacy" last="Stokes"] 5’6" All-Missouri Attack: The 2021 lefty point guard from Mt. Vernon had a tremendous all-around game with 24 points, eight rebounds and two steals. She is a high IQ player who can play fast or excel in the half court offense. She goes primarily with her left hand, but with speed and ability to operate in traffic, she was still very effective at finishing in the lane. She also hit a pair of 3-pointers when defenders backed off of her. She also has a little sauce in her game with her creative handles and passing ability. [player_tooltip player_id="106883" first="Lindsey" last="Byers"] 5’9" MO Phenom Columbia: The 2021 Missouri State commit from Helias is a smooth offensive player with a very nice shooting stroke from 3-point range. She was two-of-four from long distance. She was very effective all over the court as she finished with 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. In addition to being a very good shooter off the catch, her ball handling skills are very solid as she can get into the lane to hit short jumpers and floaters in the lane. She plays well without the ball as well. [player_tooltip player_id="162385" first="Emma" last="Compton"] 5’3" All-Missouri Attack: A 2022 point guard from Strafford who plays with quickness and toughness at both ends of the court. She had 14 points and five steals, but her most impressive stat may have been her seven rebounds, which is excellent for a player of her size. She used her speed and quickness to penetrate into the lane and drop dimes off to open teammates. She is an active defender who plays passing the lanes and can apply good on-ball pressure. [player_tooltip player_id="106872" first="Halle" last="Smith"] 6’0" MO Phenom Columbia: The 2021 SEMO commit from Belle was the most physical player in the game. She was tough and aggressive around the basket as she posted up strong and had no problem with seeking contact in the low post. She had a near double-double with eight points and nine rebounds. She plays with a high motor as she will get outside her area to rebound and run the court. She will also give you a solid drive from the high post. [player_tooltip player_id="106894" first="Kourtney" last="Kendrick"] 5’9" MO Phenom Columbia: A 2021 point guard from Boonville who is a strong and physical player with the ball in her hands. She knows how to protect the ball and smaller guards just bounce off of her when they try to get too close with the ball pressure. She attacks the basket well coming from both the left and right. With her size, she is also a big factor on the boards. She finished with seven points, eight rebounds and two steals for the game. [player_tooltip player_id="106891" first="Faith" last="Gilkey"] 5’7" All-Missouri Attack: The 2021 guard from Walnut Grove is a potent offensive player who did not have one of her best shooting days in their particular game. What was impressive about her is that she plays hard and was able to impact the game in other ways other than offense. She had four rebounds, three steals and dropped a couple of dimes in what was an impressive floor game. She is aggressive on the defensive end in the full court press and stays in attack mode on offense. [player_tooltip player_id="107965" first="Savannah" last="Campbell"] 6’2" MO Phenom Columbia: A 2022 forward from Rolla who finished with seven points and seven rebounds in a very solid effort. She is a very mobile post player who moves well inside and runs the court in transition. She will get out on the perimeter and take on a guard in the pick-and-roll and hold her own. She catches the ball well inside and finishes well using the glass.
