Katie Kempter (2021) | Bishop Eustace
Kempter knocked down 42 three’s as a junior. This puts her up there with the returning shooters in the conference. Kempter is a player who moved well along the perimeter. She knows how to run off screens and find the open spot on the court to get a shot off. Bishop Eustace was a 20 win team in 2019 and that will be the case once again with Kempter returning.
Katie Fricker (2022) | Cherokee
Cherokee finished 30-1 last season and it had a lot to do with center Alexa Therien Alexa Therien 6'1" | SF Cherokee | 2021 State NJ . On the outside, Fricker kept the offense balanced and served as a deep ball threat. She led the team in made three’s as a sophomore and that trend will continue moving forward. With their top two returning, Cherokee will be one of the top teams in the state once again.
Kayla Thompson (2021) | Cherry Hill West
Cherry Hill West produces elite shooters in both girls and boys basketball. Thompson leads the way for the girls. She knocked down 28 three’s and was a strong scorer in the lane. Thompson is a complete player on both ends and serves as a leader on and off the court.
Kristen Cortese (2023) | Lenape
Cortese was one of the top shooters on a talented Lenape team. She knocked down 31 three’s in her first high school season. Cortese did most of her work from deep. She will become even more dangerous from beyond the arc when her game gets more complete. She showed that she has a high-ceiling in year one.
Megan Heine (2021) | Shawnee
Heine is an intriguing name to watch in the upcoming season. She will be given an increased scoring role which she is ready for, especially from deep. Heine has a quick release that she can get off over larger defenders. She is a dark-horse candidate for a breakout season in 2020-2021.
Sarah McShea (2022) | Paul VI
McShea will return as one of the top shooters in the conference, along with Hannah Hidalgo Hannah Hidalgo 5'7" | PG Paul VI | 2023 State NJ . This dynamic duo is going to give opposing teams a headache in the upcoming season. McShea has a high IQ on the court. She runs the floor well and knows how to fill in the right lane.
