Small School, Big Game – 14th Region

This series will take a look at some lesser-known players from smaller schools across Kentucky that have or will tear it up at the varsity level. You might not be able to find their hometown on a map, but that hasn’t stopped them from making a name for themselves. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="31851" first="Hayley" last="Caudill"], Hazard - </strong>One of the toughest guards in the Senior class, Caudill can score the ball all over the floor and create shots for her teammates. Hayley is shifty with the ball in her hands but can also play off the ball and knock down open threes as she shot nearly 40% from three as a Junior. <strong>Keara Mullins, Knott County Central - </strong>The Lady Patriots won 20 games last season and Mullins is a big reason why. She led the team in scoring and rebounding with 12 and 6 per game and should see even higher averages this season. Keara is an above average shooter and does a little bit of everything to affect the game. <strong>Emily Bowling, Leslie County - </strong>Leslie County isn’t going to be able to replace [player_tooltip player_id="80512" first="Lexy" last="Meyers"] with just one player but Bowling is the most likely player to step up and help fill the void left by Meyers’ graduation. Emily is nowhere near the shooter that Lexy is but she does the majority of her scoring around the rim and should have a chance to be a 20+ point per game scorer if she can boost her free throw and 3 point shooting numbers. <strong>Kaitlyn Bowling, Buckhorn - </strong>Bowling is a tough forward who does the majority of her damage around the rim. She averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds per game as a Junior and could be a regular double-double next season as a Senior.
