Allie Seybert-5’0 G (Porter HS)
Seybert falls into that #sizedontmatter category because she can play and her desire, as well as knowledge and comprehension, immediately stood out as she didn’t back down and got after it. Good ballhandler and makes good decisions, plenty of upside
Hailynn Obregon-5’7 G (Katy HS)
Obregon created her shot under pressure nicely over and over and did so against established varsity players but she knocked the mid down consistently and showed she could drop the long ball but she attacked the basket nicely and finished with contact
Jacoria Taylor-5’9 G (Lamar HS)
Taylor has several stars by her name in various categories and her upside has me thinking she could wind up being a household name. She attacks powerfully and defends the same way but she does so many things instinctively, like playing the passing lane which is something I love to see from players
Kaiya Carter-5’9 G Nimitz HS
Carter was overly impressive during many of the drills but she’s long and athletic, one more time, that’s the base, she plays the passing lane, she can defenders with ease off the dribble and she also can create her shot which includes dropping the three-pointer
Mariyah Brown-5’9 SF (Jersey Village HS)
Brown falls into that long and athletic category as well but what really stood out was not the fact she attacks it’s the way she attacks and relentlessly is a word I like to use because as powerful as she goes off the dribble, she finishes the same way, with contact
Nya Wold-5’10 SG (Katy HS)
Wold had me SOLD almost instantaneous and once I found out what grade she was in, I knew I had found myself a bargain because she can do a variety of things well, like hit the midrange which she can create off the dribble, drop the stop and pop in transition as well as handles the ball in the open court. She’s athletic, she attacks the basket from multiple angles, and she finishes
2025
Alaysia Cook-5’5 G
Cook was simmering early but the flame was at full blast and the potential she is showing right now is through the roof. Keep in mind she’s going against some seniors who will play at the next level and didn’t back down either attacking the rim or playing defense but she also showed she could score from outside
Jasmine Timmons-6’0 P
Timmons is on the verge of something big and with her size, she could definitely play high school right now and be effective. She;’s strong and under control, she understands positioning and how to not only ignite the break after rebounding, which she does well on both ends but run the floor and finish on the other
