Class of 2022 Rankings: Brian’s New Additions (Part 2)

With every Rankings update, our staff likes to highlight new players that have been added to the rankings in each class. Here are several from the Class of 2022 that have been included in the newest update: #91 [player_tooltip player_id="201073" first="Isabelle" last="McKinley"] 5’10 Byron High School / Illinois Midwest Wildcats A long athlete that can play both the 1 and 2 guard positions, there is a lot to like about Isabelle’s game. As the point, she is aggressive and sets the tone right away, controlling the tempo the whole time. She can score from all 3 levels, attacking the rim hard and with a purpose. A high IQ player, Isabelle cuts at the right time and can read and break down a defense when playing off the ball. #92 Angelica Bafia 5’7 Lockport High School / Illinois Rockets A great athlete with lightening quick feet, Angelica has potential to be a lockdown defender. She keeps her opponent in front and is always giving great on ball pressure. She has all the make-up to be an all around great basketball player and is filled with potential. #93 [player_tooltip player_id="201075" first="Mya" last="Davidson"] 6’2 Harlem High School / Midwest Illinois Wildcats A good athlete with a strong build, Mya is a defensive wrecker. She creates all kinds of problems at the top of the press and contests any shot that she is in the area of. A strong player, Mya’s screens are set with a purpose and she does a good of reading the defense after the screen is set and rolls into position to get the ball for a shot. #95 [player_tooltip player_id="201076" first="Madison" last="Lineback"] 6’2 Ottawa High School / Illinois Warriors White Madison can block any shot when on the court and alters the others she cannot get to. She excels at rotating onto the help side and being in great defensive position. Madison has soft hands and has the ability to become a true force on both ends of the court. #96 [player_tooltip player_id="201077" first="Miracle" last="Thomas"] 5’7 Peoria High School / Heart of Illinois The fastest player that I saw all summer, Miracle can get up and down the court in the blink of an eye. She attacks the basket with a purpose and can finish around the rim. An unselfish player, Miracle finds her teammates at the right time and open when she has the ball in her hands. #97 [player_tooltip player_id="201078" first="Whitney" last="Shank"] 5’10 Byron High School / Illinois Midwest Wildcats Whitney is a post that has the ability to play multiple positions at the next level.  She is an athlete that brings length to the floor and has the build to add strength and mix it up with girls bigger than her.  Whitney does a really good job running the floor on the break and putting herself in position to score. #98 [player_tooltip player_id="201079" first="Kelly" last="Knight"] 5’6 Providence Catholic High School / Illinois Rockets A strong defender with quick feet that forces her opponent to change directions dribbling multiple times, Kelly is a solid player. She is never out of control and has strong handles that are low to the ground, Kelly likes to push the temp and does so with great success. A true game manager, Kelly is always positive when on the court. #100 [player_tooltip player_id="194228" first="Mallory" last="Cyrulik"] 5’11 Clinton High School / Illinois Valley Warriors White: A college ready player who is only going to get better, Mallory brings a lot of strong attributes to the court. A rim runner who has great length, Mallory excels at finishing around the rim. She has good hands and can catch anything.  A good defender as well, Mallory plays like she is 6’2. Mallory has the potential to shoot up the rankings this upcoming season and be on every college's radar.
