The live period always brings a different kind of energy. More eyes, bigger opportunities, and a real chance for players to separate themselves. With more coaches in the building, players should focus more on showing coaches how they can fit into roles rather than on how good they are individually. Below are some of the 2027 prospects I believe fit that mold and should be watched this weekend.

Every program can use a post player with a smooth jumper, and Ava fits that right away. She is mobile, active in the paint, and impacts the game on both ends of the floor. My favorite thing about her game is how she handles switches. If she gets matched up with a guard, she stays composed, tracks the drive without fouling, and never looks like she needs help. She has a nice touch around the rim, and if she catches it higher than the rim, she can put it on the floor as well. Major stock riser for sure.

Locke already has the collegiate frame that gives her an advantage, especially with how well she handles physicality. The confidence stands out in the way she attacks possessions, and she has the ability to score from the paint all the way out to the arc. On the defensive end, that size makes a real impact. She can blow up passing lanes, make things tough on opposing guards, and is not easy to get around. Lengthy with a strong build, she has a lot of the traits colleges look for in a guard and wing.

Neumann has made a major leap this year in her skillset and overall growth as a player. Her main attribute is her size, and she has hit a pretty significant growth spurt over the past two years... which points to a strong foundation both height wise and frame wise. In most situations her offensive impact is looked at first, but I believe coaches will be taken back by her energy and defensive versatility as well. She can guard 2-4 and cause serious issues for a center, and has no problem being switched to the 1 guard.

If you're looking for a leader and someone to make things happen with the ball in her hands, then Wardle would be someone to watch immediately. She's a player who rarely makes a mistake, and if she does, she moves on quickly. She has strong vision, her decision making is fast and sharp, and from a scoring standpoint, she can create for herself at all levels just as well as she can for others.

Sizemore is a handful to deal with if you're having to guard her, and when you have a skillset that's not limited to your size, it's tough to scout, as well as to defend. She has strong body control. She has no issue dealing with bigger players when she gets into the paint. She's more deceptive than she is crafty, but I chalk that up to her knowing that she can get things done on her first step.
