Logan Pride, 5-8 Twinsburg
This Northeast Ohio talent played well all afternoon at this event, and was impressive with a great touch around the rim. Logan (pictured right) played with high energy and was a productive player at both ends of the floor. Athletic and able to use to her advantage. If you focus on her inside game, Logan can step out to 15-18′ and bury the mid-range shot. Good handles and a smart player.
Abby Wolter Abby Wolter 5'6" | PG Keokuk | 2022 State IA man, 6-0 Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame
If there was a player who rose the most in my eyes it’s this kid. She is part of a national powerhouse Mount Notre Dame team and she has a great solid complete game. Her game has grown, and she is a long, athletic player who can play anywhere on the floor. Abby (pictured above) runs the floor well in transition, can score on the break and has solid handles. Also good range with her perimeter game.
Chloe Chard Peloquin, 6-2 Newark Catholic
A long athletic player (pictured left) who is a difference maker around the basket. Will be a solid wing or stretch at the next level, but on this day, she showed a lot of different skills. She always gave it 100% and plays with a lot of energy at both ends of the floor. Not only did she prove to be a solid player in the paint, but she stepped out and showed some versatility from the perimeter. A solid low D1-high/mid D2 kid with several offers already. Excited to see her again this weekend at the CPS Training Showcase which I will be evaluating.
Mackenzie Hurd Mackenzie Hurd 5'10" | CG Nelsonville York | 2022 State OH , 5-11 Nelsonville York
What can you say about this kid that hasn’t been said before. She is a team player first which her number one strength. She sees the court better than most players with incredible court awareness and a high basketball IQ. Has the ability to score on the drive to the rim, and has a strong pull-up game from the midrange. Also has deep range which can open up a game. Just a tough kid to defend, a double-double machine (pictured right).
Mallory Hawley Mallory Hawley 5'10" | SF Pomeroy Meigs | 2022 OH , 5-10 Meigs
She is a scholarship kid who I believe has her best basketball ahead of her. Mallory (pictured left) is a small D1-high D2 kid who sees the floor well as an excellent passer. She can get on the boards and is an effective rebounder. She runs the floor well in transition, can space the court well and score or find the best option on the break. Can play the 2/3 at the next level, her game continues to get better and I expect her to put together a great junior season.
