Time is flying and I’m another year older. I’m the luckiest guy in his 40’s that I know, because I get to cover and write about these amazing players and people. For my 43rd birthday, I’m going to give you 25 college basketball players from the class of 2022 at the Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Top 250 Expo. [player_tooltip player_id="147735" first="Ella" last="Burger"] (G, Dakota) Burger is a tough guard and a 2 way player. Olivia Bussell (G, Monroe) Bussell proved that she’s probably 1 of the 5 fastest players in the state. [player_tooltip player_id="147728" first="Alaina" last="Diaz"] (G, Hudsonville) Diaz really showed off her ability to play on or off the ball and her straight line speed. [player_tooltip player_id="182916" first="Julia" last="Gilbert"] (F, Port Huron) Gilbert will absolutely battle in the paint and constantly work to get position. [player_tooltip player_id="147758" first="Grace" last="Goodnough"] (F, International Academy West) Goodnough is an under rated wing. She can attack in a variety of ways. [player_tooltip player_id="147773" first="Lauren" last="Gunn"] (G, Saginaw Heritage) Gunn was super on the defensive end and liked to push off the dribble. [player_tooltip player_id="147786" first="Jasmine" last="Hadley"] (F, Davison) Hadley is a terrific athlete and a flat out weapon in the open floor. Ahley Hill (G, Dearborn Divine Child) Hill has a really nice looking jumper that she can rise up on and shoot over top. [player_tooltip player_id="227598" first="Aubrie" last="Ickes"] (F, Livonia Stevenson) Ickes has a lot of potential. She’s willing and able to play whatever role her team needs on that day. [player_tooltip player_id="147788" first="Emma" last="Kerkai"] (F, Frankenmuth) Kerkai has a quickly developing all around game. College coaches should pay attention. [player_tooltip player_id="148462" first="Alyssa" last="Matuza"] (G, Troy) Matuza is an excellent passer and takes pride in feeding her teammates. [player_tooltip player_id="147776" first="Ella" last="Miller"] (F, East Lansing) Miller is primed for a big senior season. She’s very adept when it comes to playing through contact. [player_tooltip player_id="147726" first="Zoey" last="Persails"] (G/F, Frankenmuth) Persails looked incredibly versatile, guarding multiple positions. Abigail Rey (G, Midland Dow) Rey has a really nice looking jumper that she’s comfortable shooting off the catch. [player_tooltip player_id="179079" first="Hannah" last="Schroeder"] (G, Allendale) Schroeder has a big upside as a prospect. She moved without the ball and looked to have a strong jumper. Zoe Speolman (F, Grand Haven) Spoelman is an impact player. She can score facing the rim or back to the basket. [player_tooltip player_id="147743" first="Maeve" last="St. John"] (G, Howell) St. John was absolutely terrific at the Top 250. She has an elite game in the state. Her horizontal movement and electric ball handling was fun to watch. [player_tooltip player_id="147748" first="Hannah" last="Toutant"] (C, Dakota) Toutant is one of the more skilled post players in the state. She has a huge upside as a prospect. [player_tooltip player_id="147733" first="Sydney" last="Vis"] (F, Grand Rapids South Christian) Vis is a battler and has a nose for the ball off the rim. [player_tooltip player_id="147742" first="Alaila" last="Walker"] (G, Kalamazoo Central) Walker is a silky smooth athlete that attacks off the wing. [player_tooltip player_id="147762" first="Allie" last="Walther"] (G, Schoolcraft) Watlther is a shooter at heart, but other parts of her game are showing dramatic improvement. [player_tooltip player_id="147717" first="Madisen" last="Wardell"] (F, Detroit Edison) Wardell is an elite prospect in Michigan, probably top 15 regardless of class. It’s tough to find a weakness or a way to attack her. [player_tooltip player_id="147727" first="Nevaeh" last="Williams"] (G, Mt. Clemens) Williams was a spark plug that pushed the ball with the pass and the dribble. [player_tooltip player_id="147722" first="Jordan" last="Wright"] (G, An Arbor Huron) Wright certainly came to play on Sunday. She Showed the state of Michigan that her name needs to be mentioned with the best floor generals in the state. [player_tooltip player_id="178871" first="Erin" last="Young"] (F, Livonia Franklin) Young was impressive at the Top 250. She was a versatile forward that seemed to do a little of everything.
