I was there and will have a full recap this week on PGH Ohio with a look at the kids who were present. Today, a look at the All-2021 team including my MVP from the Pittsburgh area.
MVP- Jaden Davinsizer, 5-10 Seneca Valley (PA)
Really impressed with her game as I saw her for the first time. She has several offers to schools in her region, but she has scholarship-type skills with a solid offensive game. Jaden (pictured left) has the ability to score from either out at the arc, or can put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. She has good handles and is a heady player with a good basketball IQ. Played for Drill 4 Skills in the summer over in Pittsburgh, and gained more confidence as the day progressed.
Kaylee Dingee Kaylee Dingee 5'11" | PF Carlisle | 2021 OH , 5-11 Carlisle
Not the first time I have seen her as Kaylee (pictured right) always does a solid job in the paint protecting the rim, while using her physical play and height to score at the rim. She has good fundamental post moves, moves her feet well and keep the ball high for the easier shot. Good strong rebounder and can out let the ball in transition. Not afraid to take the perimeter shot, but most effective around the hoop. Good post defender.
Baylee Jones, 5-9 Western Brown
Baylee (featured above) showed me a lot of great things the entire day. She has committed to Lipscomb and has a lot of good tools for the next level. Loved her intensity and leadership on the court. She creates plays and is productive both from the perimeter or closer to the hoop. Great court awareness and sees the floor well. Good passer, looks to get her teammates involved and looks for the best shot. Can take over a game also if needed. Hard-nosed and great kid to represent your team.
Haylee Gunter, 5-9 Kettering Alter
Another uncommitted senior who looks to see her production increase this season. Haylee (pictured left) is a scrappy hard-nosed guard with range, or can take the ball to the rim. Has good handles and moves well without the ball. Needs more consistency to become more productive in the offense. She will defend well and can play physical to benefit her team.
Alana Eavs, 5-9 Wayne (WV)
A late addition to the event, but she showed why she is one of the top players in the state of West Virginia. Alana (pictured right) is smooth and fluid in the offense, able to score in multiple ways. She has range, and can use her body to get to the paint and score against a taller kid. Great work ethic, does a lot of the intangibles. Will make a college coach a nice addition to their program. She is a walking bucket.
