2022 MVP- Chloe Peloquin, 6-2 Newark Catholic
Her best basketball is in the future, when she gets to the college level. Chloe (featured photo) has a great basketball frame, long and athletic who can control the paint offensively, and lock down the post defensively. Moves her quick feet well around the basket, her footwork down low including drop step is very solid. Effective midrange game. Expect her to have a big impact with Newark Catholic. Good hands and high basketball IQ.
Madelyn Fearon Madelyn Fearon 5'6" | CG Arcanum | 2022 State OH , 5-8 Arcanum
As mentioned in earlier reports, Madelyn (pictured left) is another player who has completely changed her game. In her earlier high school days, she was knows as a kid who can shoot the three. Yes, she can still shoot that shot very effectively, but she is much more than a shooter. She can get to the rim, is able to use her body well and create shots for herself or her teammates. Sees the floor very well, can pass with either hand and loves to push the ball in transition.
Carly Maple, 5-8 Sylvania Northview
Very solid passer and a legitimate floor leader who make her teammates better. Good handles with both hands, high energy and a player who can lead her offense in multiple styles of play. Carly (pictured right) can run the floor in transition and finish at the rim, also has a solid midrange shot or can let it fly from deep range. High basketball IQ, makes good decisions at both ends of the floor. Big game performer.
Haley Crozier Haley Crozier 5'6" | CG Springboro | 2022 OH , 5-8 Springboro
Her game has grown tremendously over the years and she has elevated to the status of a player who can play at the next level. Solid guard with excellent handles, Haley (pictured left) can score in many ways. The most common for her is the ability to score from the perimeter, especially from beyond the arc. She is a heady player who sees the floor well, is an excellent passer, and a much improved on-ball defender. I anticipate her contributions to increase this year for a very solid Springboro team.
Torrie Utter, 5-6 Georgetown
Her game was impressive as she was a consistent long distance perimeter shooter. Fired from well beyond the arc, good handles and gets her feet set which always makes her ready to shoot. Torrie (pictured right) knows how to attack the rim and used the glass well on inside shots. Excellent floor vision with her passes and defensively can play solid on-ball defense and use her quickness and athleticism to create problems for her opponent.
Hailey Unger Hailey Unger 5'7" | CG Arcanum | 2022 State OH , 5-8 Arcanum
Has the most picture-perfect jump shot around with great range, and a consistent solid game. Hailey (pictured left) is deadly from the three, can put the ball on the floor and his the midrange, or finish at the rim. Quick and athletic with good handles, she plays great in the uptempo game. Can defend and force turnovers. Good court vision and is a very good passer.
