The OGBR Top 64 featured over 300 standouts, playing in front of D2, D3 and NAIA head coaches, while many more D1 coaches watched via live stream. This week – we look at many of the day’s top performers – some who you most likely already know and others who made a name for themselves on Sunday.
Madison French – 5’10 Guard – Lakota East – Class of 2023
Madison had an outstanding showing in the second session of the day. Her skill level is advanced well-beyond her years and she used her length to score over smaller defenders in the paint, while also flashing a perimeter game that left little to be desired.
Nyanna Hatfield – 5’8 Wing – Unioto – Class of 2024
Hatfield was impressive off of the bounce, covering space with 1 or 2 dribbles and a long first step. She used her broad shoulders to finish through contact and showed a level of strength that was impressive for a kid who hasn’t played an official high school basketball game yet.
Margaret Jones – 5’8 Forward – Laurel – Class of 2023
Jones was an animal of the glass. Defensively, she limited the opposition to one shot per possession and offensively she earned her team a number of extra scoring opportunities with her hustle and instincts. She is a good screen setter – another strong kid who you love to have on your team.
Sophia Lance – 5’5 Guard – Solon – Class of 2024
Sophia is a lead guard who plays much bigger than her 5’5 listed height. She is scrappy – applying solid pressure defense on the ball and getting a number of deflections in passing lanes. She is a good shooter with confidence and range.
Teagan Ng – 5’10 Wing – Big Walnut – Class of 2024
Teagan is a potential match-up nightmare for opposing defenses. With her length, she is comfortable playing on the block, but also can step out to the perimeter and shoot the 3 when she is given space. Ng is a very active defender who rebounds, blocks shots and creates turnovers for her team. She is a very intriguing prospect moving forward.
