The OGBR Top 64 featured over 300 standouts, playing in front of D2, D3 and NAIA head coaches, while many more D1 coaches watched via live stream. This week – we look at many of the day’s top performers – some who you most likely already know and others who made a name for themselves on Sunday.
Cotie McMahon Cotie McMahon 5'11" | SG Centerville | 2022 #28 Nation OH – 5’11 Guard – Centerville – Class of 2022
McMahon showed why she is one of the state’s top players and arguably one of the top 10 transition players in the entire country. When Cotie comes down hill – she is simply impossible to contain. Defensively, McMahon is active as an rebounder and on-ball defender. Her strength is one of many special traits that she possesses – as she consistently plays through contact.
Leah Abribat – 5’8 Guard – Lakota West – Class of 2021
Abribat flashed stretches of dominant defense on the ball. She is long and athletic – a coach’s dream and a ball-handler’s nightmare. Leah gets deflections and steals at a high rate, creating offense for her teammates. Her own offense is a work in progress but she is a steal for the school that picks her up during her last year of HS.
Mya Perry – 5’10 Forward – Reynoldsburg – Class of 2022
Perry is a long point-forward with tremendous court vision. She truly makes her teammates better. Mya covers a lot of ground with the dribble, getting into the heart of the defense and breaking it down, while creating open shots for her teammates. She is a more-than-capable scorer when called upon to do so, as well.
Casey Humphrey – 5’2 Guard – Groveport Madison – Class of 2021
Casey is a score-first guard who has no problem getting buckets whenever she wants. She is dynamic in the pick-and-roll, understanding the complexities of switches and other coverages. Casey has a devastating hesitation dribble, where she changes speeds at an impressive quickness. Although she is not the tallest guard – she can finish with floaters and runners in the paint.
Cam Jones – 6’1 Post – Magnificat – Class of 2022
Cam has a lot of untapped potential – her best days of basketball could be ahead of her. She is a high-level rebounder and shot blocker, using long arms and a good frame to change the game defensively. She is a capable scorer – not just on the block, but also form the mid-range where she is comfortable facing up and shooting.
